I know you get what you pay for. What about something that will not get a real lot of use. Are they good enough for occational use. Same goes for the Chicago electric tools. Just wondering what you all have experienced.

They have a few things I would like, but I'm a little leary about their quality.

Inspect for quality. You get what you pay for. Great place to buy the cheap tools. Rubber mallets for a buck ? Some good deals are mixed in.

hand tools are a STEAL THERE. for power tools if you use it 2-3 times now and then they will last a while but for everyday use give it a week maybe. all depens what your looking for. id buy there wrenches and sockets all day for 6 dollars a set. if they brake you threw away 50 cents.

all depends what your looking for and you pay for what you get

What are you looking at buying? I got about $1000+ worth of tools from there. I'm THE HF MAN! lol. Their wrenches aren't the greatest, but their sockets kick butt! I have a lot of their hex sockets, my chrome sockets are all c-man though other than hex and torx, but their new line of chrome sockets are really nice. They recently got a whole new line of tools and clearanced out the old. I picked up 1/2" drive metric deep well 14 pc. impact socket set for $11, 3/8" drive metric deep well 9 pc. impact socket set for $3, and 3/8" drive SAE deep well 9 pc. impact socket set for $3 a couple days ago. I also got their toolbox, which for the price, is THE BEST toolbox money can buy. Their ratchets are also AMAZING! The bottom box on the left and the 2 boxes on top of it are filled with HF tools along with some other brands. Gotta be careful what you buy, some of their stuff SUCKS! A few bad things are their cheap impact guns, full polish made in india wrenches, and their snap-ring pliers along with much more.

I've bought quite a few tools there. Angle grinder, and some other small electric tools. I've used them alot without problems, and still using them. I figured for about $20 a piece, if I get 5 uses out of them, I still did good.

I have the 1/2 electric impact wrench from H/F and a Craftsman Professional impact. They look almost the same except for the color. I have 2 boys in their 20's using it and it is holding up pretty good (you know how boys take care of things!). I've had that 2-3 years already. I also have a H/F little Pneumatic High Speed Metal Saw ($9.99 with coupon). That works great for what I cut with it, working on cars. I have the blue aluminum 3000# floor jack ($59.99 with coupon) that I carry in the street rod. Best way to buy from H/F is to use the 20% off coupons that are in almost all the car mags. Sure you get what you pay for but sometimes that's all that you need!

Same here. Have had a couple sockets break but other then that things have been alright. I bought a framing nailer from them and it has drove a few thous nails for sure without any problem. I wouldn't do a trade with them....Don't know if you live by one or not but if you print off the price or coupon off the net and get to the store and price is different they will honor there web price just to let ya know..

Happy with my hoist, happy with the metric deep well sockets ( impact ) happy with the small cut off saw, close quarters drill, air rivet gun, ect... The small belt sander got me ( I didn't check the amps before I bought ( my bad ).... The best part is if it fails I throw them out and buy more. My T- Handle Torx wrenches are great. Beats the heck out of the sockets ( IMO ). My better stuff I have had 20+ years B&D Industrial, Milwaukee, ect... To tell you the truth, I use most of it occasionally. When I was younger, I had to have the best of everything ( Snap On ) ect... in reality now I go for what the application is. If I had to make my living using the tool then I would buy better engineered products. For simple stuff like hand tools, sand paper, brooms, it's great.

I have a hauling platform (hitch receiver) that is 4 yrs old now and works fine and I just bought three battery minders from there. Even if they only work for a couple years it will be tough to beat them at 4.95 each! Gotta watch what your buying.
