That section of 25 gets pretty torn up by 4-wheelers in the summer and closes every few years until they can get it smoothened out in the fall. 40 is a good option, and takes you right to the Clam Lake groomer turn around.

Have been on 25 in the past been a few years was hoping it was better but doesn't sound like it, I just wanted to run it because I believe that's where the elk management is and was hopine to see one, I was leading this weekend and holy deer everywhere I don't have the map in front of me but where's 40 go up

40 goes up along county road GG from the Tuscobia, about a half mile west of North Country. Reed at North Country used to do the grooming of that section. 40 goes about 3-4 miles along GG, then turns east and runs right into 25 where the Clam Lake Groomer turns around.

The Elk Management you refer to is more west of Clam Lake along Hwy 77, as well as south of Clam Lake towards the old ELF line station that was moth balled about 12 years ago.

I’m sure they wander out of that area, but that’s where the management focus used to be.
