I just want to remind anyone who pulls a trailer, the "Tax Me" state trailer plate renewals ALL go up by $100.00 each. The standard TA plate (up to 3000lbs) which is currently $18, will be $118 on Jan 1st, 2020. RENEW NOW! *U** P***Z***!!

Thanks for voting for a guy who said he was going to raise taxes on everything, They wonder why Illinois is going to be called the Exit State

I may as well add, if you plan on a new truck soon, you'll be taxed on your trade in that's valued at over $10K, an avg of about $874 more outside of crook county ($1025 more). The current threshold is $20k to be taxed. 3-1/2 yrs before I can even think about leaving.

That's fair, right? From $18 to $118? Don't forget we pay the full load through all the tolls when towing, too. I hate this state so damn much, but 8 more years for me.

Well the 19 cents extra gas tax you we pay now for bad roads. And Chicago Mayor just announced that they do not want the power company to ever turn your power off so free electric.

I don't care how much you can make there. Screw that BS!
I'm 56 and have a Municipal job. The pay is good, benefits are awesome and I really need the last 8 years to get my pension up where I need it to be. Next year I start getting another week of vacation, too.

Well, they already stopped turning off the water because water shutoffs disproportionately affected brown people, as the Mayor likes to say. Not my words. So free water for half the city. I told my mom and aunt, who live in the city and are not brown, to stop paying their water bill. They are in their 80's and 90's. What will the city do, ruin their credit rating? LOL.

What a joke! i wonder if the population has been decreasing thus the need to find new tax revenue? What will they tax next? They haven't had enough $$$$$ for years and never will! I feel bad for you guys.

Good ol JB has been the best U-Haul salesman to date!!! Moved north and haven't looked back. I get all the "benefits" of the city life as well as 10x better riding weather, a no brainer.

In case you are wondering they are aware that population is decreasing, so they just tax more. That and stupid millenials keep moving downtown cuz its cool.

Almost forgot the cost of tolls now with and without a trailer it’s nice just leaving everything up there. Looks like the boat is never coming back to Illinois.

I tried to renew my $18.00 TA plate which expires in April 2020 last week in hopes of beating the $100.00 increase. Of course you are not allowed to renew before January and the increase. I hate the state of Illinois with a passion.

nothing to do with population decrease and everything to do with gross incompetence of previous political administrations.
