Thanks all.

Extremely flat light and falling snow + a 20 foot deep by 50 foot wide little ravine= Broken Back.

My L1 vertebra was compression fractured and is currently only 1/2 as thick as it was before the fun.

The good news is that it is a very stable fracture, so no risk of any damage to the spinal cord going forward and should make a full recovery. Flying home as scheduled tomorrow.

John this exact same thing happened to a freind of mine, was going down the trail kinda cased a couple of big woops, and had some sharp pain . Kept riding , next day went to see doc, and his back was same as yours. He is fully recovered and riding again, but takes it easy now. Hang in there.....

Holy Crap!
So much for Johnny don't jump!
Glad it's not worse. Can't believe you rode the sled out. That had to be fun.
Take it easy and get well soon.

John, wishing you a fast in full recovery. Take comfort in knowing you have so many friends wishing you well, and don't try that flying Superman trick ever again
