As you have come to my mind throughout the day have been praying for a good trip home and a speedy, full recovery. I have also been remembering Nora as I'm sure she is uncertain about your condition and concerned about your recovery. Hope all three of you unite as a family and overcome the anxiety of this ordeal quickly and you all come back to a "normal" condition both physically and mentally as soon as possible.

Thanks everyone!

Made it home just fine yesterday, thanks to the pain meds!

It's going to be a long road to recovery, but I am in great hands!

Thanks again to the well wishes!

-John

PS, there will be a journal tonight too!

Glad to hear things are going to be ok, John.

Two things here can work to your advantage now. First, my dad had 2 back surgeries and always said that riding was like therapy for his back. So you may need to become a trail rider and use it as an excuse for therapy. Second, now you will need to buy the tractor. Have to tell the boss that you can't manhandle the snowblower and all that firewood anymore.

So you should be able to have some real good come from this misfortune.

Good Luck!

About yrs ago I broke my L5, some sort of freak basketball accident. That was an interesting recovery but it all worked out ok... No more contact sports the docs said, but I'm still playing basketball at 40.....

The only thing I can remember from the ortho doc, was he said, when you think you are 100% you're not. wait another month. To this day I can't lift real heavy things and twist under load but heck that's ok.

I'm sure in time, Mr. JD will be all healed up. If you need something heavy moved (without twisting) let me know as I'm just down the road.

There has to be something from an informercial that can patch ya up!!

Later,

Sorry to hear about the back John. They put titanium rods, pins and cages between my L4-L5 vertebra and 13 months later I'm back. These Doc's can repair anything today. Good luck, hurry back.
