Heated shields ?

I have not had as good of luck with my Polaris modular's heated shield option. They worked OK, not great in very cold say -20 temps but only lasted two years or less. Then, they are $100+ to replace.

I bought a snow cross with goggle set up this year so we will see.

I have a couple of helmets. One open face and one I run a heated shield. The open face does not get much use. It takes longer to put on and make sure all the skin is covered. I also wear glasses and the fogging is less with the heated shield. The only time the open face seems better is in real warm temp riding off trail. The cord was a hassle at first but is just part of the routine now. We all ride with heated shields and actually carry an extra cord just in case someone breaks their cord.
