Need all those sleds with studs and off trail lugs to rip that ice base up. All Boondockers to the Northwoods immediately! Trail riding only!
Perhaps, just hope the off trail lugs don't clean all the snow off the ice in the corners?

This one looks like a whopper. I just checked the radar and the snows stretch from Central Wisconsin all the way to Reno, Nevada.

Well, from what all the weather reports say we will get blasted with anywhere from 12-24" by the end of the day Thursday, so no worries, everyone will be happy again! Damn, I love a good snowstorm!
Gotta love it, this storm will be right in the middle of my trip. so happy I came up here this week instead of last week, hope everyone that has to deal with this storm will be prepared and safe

We have trip planned as well, leaving on sleds Thursday morning from Lakewood and heading to Houghton and copper harbor. My buddies have to drive their trucks up from Sheboygan after work today.

It would appear that the storm itself will not bring as much snow to the Keweenaw as was first anticipated. Nonetheless, 8-10" is a respectable amount. LES could provide more on top of that, however, that will depend on location & wind direction. Be aware of the icey conditions in many areas beneath the freshly fallen snow. Trail 133 is not groomed as there is a need for more snow & currently the Brockway Mountain trail cannot be groomed due to the icey base of which they hope to be able to groom when snow settles. I would still use caution as the ice is not going anywhere. Be safe out there everyone.

I'm not sure about these snow totals....they seem high....yes...it looks like a whooper of a storm..and I don't want to be the turd in the punch bowl...but to me the heavier snow bands look to set up in central Wisconsin (just south of the northwoods)....but I guess we'll see
I hope i'm wrong, and we wake up to crotch deep snow (i'll post pictures, and updates by 7 am tomorrow)

our normal every 2 week road trip to Laona is tomarow. We are watching this closely as to whether it will be ok to drive up tomorrow as we usually do on a Thursday afternoon. if I divide the hype by 2 it is looking good to go.

Not looking good in Florence County 😫
I’m here now. 3” and it’s a steady weird tiny snowflake that is accumulating pretty quick. We started with 6” more or less before the storm started. At about 9” now. Leveled off the snow board about an hour ago and appears to need it again with the wind picking up. Will do it soon

Thanks for update, and I saw you leveled it out.

I've been watching Athelstane camera, looks like they got 7" so far, since 5pm.

It appears we received about 6” so far with NWS predicting another 5” today in Florence so if that happens the storm prediction will be pretty close to what was forecasted, at least in our area.

Only snowing lightly here in the Keweenaw. Winds began at 3:30 a.m., no real snow with it, currently snowing lightly with winds from the East. All schools were cancelled early last night for the entire UP except for MTU. I don't know what to make of it to be honest, there was every indication that we would be getting 8-10"+ & we are now looking at the possibility of 4-8". The storm warning continues through tonight, so I guess we'll see if the intensity picks up or this storm falls on its face.

News report said 11.3” from the 2nd storm for NW Appleton, which is me. Looks more like 6-8” on top of 2-3” to me…
