Nov 30th, an additional 6+" of sugar snow overnight, been snowing all day so far, a lighter variety now. 5 hrs of moving snow today. Our snowfall totals in the last 2 days are around 18", so far. The ground is still warm, weights the snow at ground level with melting a bit, makes it a little difficult with the shovel. Looks like more on the way.

Here’s the snowfall reports from the NWS so far. Notice NNE Ironwood shows 27” and W Ironwood shows 9”. In all my years following snowfall this seems to be the norm. IMG_8930.jpeg

@indy_500 , We used to joke about that snow line. It was common to drive hundreds of miles through brown until we hit the edge of Hurley. During good years it kept getting deeper as we drove through Ironwood. Sometimes it could be measured in feet by the time we got to Wakefield.
In those days we didn't have as much information available before leaving home. We relied on phone calls to someone living on the snowy side and a lot of hope. It was almost giddy relief to see that snow line after those long drives.

Dec 1st an additional 5"+ this morning. A lighter variety this time, but, ground warmth still affecting the ground layers making it kind of heavy. 23"+ is my 3 day total here in the Banana Belt. I haven't had a chance to venture up the hill to Laurium / Calumet but, I can safely assume they have a bunch more than here in the valley.
