Sorry, but I just gotta laugh at all you sucka's that fell for the Doo 850, 180 HP, hype. LOL. WD's 160 HP, EXUP Apex will be "dusting" you next fall - but you WILL be lighter as you view the tail lights. Ha

u really think a demo sled is not running oem parts and tuned for elevation the best the guy driving them around the country can do.
historically more times than not doos peeter out on top end but have decent launch and great mid

Couldnt be more false if you know what your doing and what to look for. There is not an 800 that will run with the etec on top end.

I like lennstangs video with honest comentary on how each sled is equipped.
All this looks real familiar....if being ahead or behind in a drag race by a couple sled length is what fills your head when you think about snowmobiling we live in different worlds. From all the videos I have seen in somewhat apples to apples comparos, it is evident that on most trails it will come down to the rider as to who is trail king....which sounds real safe.....LOL

I would have much preferred to see a renegade or even summit 850 race the assualt up a hill. Thats why i call 2 long tracks with same track and gearing a more apples to apples comp. 850 mxz 27 tooth gearing and short track more difficult to overcome the baby jumps up hill. Woulda been nice to see a flat run as well. Also wonder if anyone checked belt deflection on the 850. 1500 miles being ridden by customers u kno that belt was getting worn and glazed.. I kno the 800etec wont be outperforming the 850 as seen in that vid as well. Jmo.

prestudded ice attack or similar....Assaualt was unstudded and fresh out of the box. They both launched well. The Doo had its skis 3-4' in the air. You can see it in Lennstangs second video posted up yesterday.

now we are talking tunning when u say what U are doing and what to look for not out of the box. if u really think there is not a 800 out that will run with a etec when both sleds are in the hands of competent tuners then u really need to take of those yellow glasses . been to a sanctioned drag race in the last 15 yrs ?
as far as glazed belts go u think the poo was treated with kid gloves by all test riders?
I also was a bit shocked but in those runs the underpowered sled won.
really in that hard pack bunny hill that 128 should have killed the assault

again if poo really fresh out of the box that makes the results worse for the out of break in mode doo .

I will stand by the etec having an advantage on top end. JMO.

Wasnt the assualt new like XRS?

That 2nd video gives a better idea of how that first hill can effect the race, driver who keeps front end down helps. Sounds like one of the sleds pulled down or let off throttle for a second.... Either way impressed with how the assualt ran.
