Just got back from a 2 day trip to the UP and northern wisc, i cant say enough about how great the trails were! 375 milles in less than 48 hours, and saw 17 sleds on the trails (more at stops and fuel) BUT 2 NEAR MISSES ! With the amount of trailers i saw heading north on hwy 51 this afternoon its going to be a busy last weekend. My point is : RIDE TO THE RIGHT YOU DONT OWN THE TRAIL! THANKS FOR A GREAT NON CONTACT SEASON !

Whitedust how was the ride yesterday ?

I didn't ride yesterday freezing rain in Phelps & didn't change to snow until late in day so rode today. 6"-10" of fresh pow pow all the way Phelps to LAnse no groomers anywhere WI or MI. I had to saw a downed birch to get to trails but thought it might be a problem but just part of the deal with wet pow pow. I had to weave in & out of snow laden trees & brush & had to flatten out on seat or get my head ripped off some what tuff with vest on but fun. Fresh snow very beautiful today but got pelted with shedding snow so happy I had the vest on. I was very concerned I would meet oncoming Ricky because I was using entire trail to weave thru the bent brush & trees & if Ricky came at me I had no place to go but lucky traffic very light & no Ricky but always on my mind.:( Took 15N out of IR to Sidnaw ate at Sidnaw Eats good food & good service. The owner asked if she could post my picture on FB I said "Sure". Gassed at Mini Mart & hauled balls to 15/8 to LAnse just had to ride those whoops at 75mph catch a little air on each 1.lol Uturned at LAnse & hauled back to Mini Mart a quick 50 miles & last fill up before back at Phelps. Took 107 back to Watersmeet didn't see another sled headed East on 2 hooked with my FRs again. Joined back up with 6W in Phelps & was stuttered up.... Phelps done grooming for the season out of money. Filled up again in Phelps headed home down FRs on only my tracks. Probably the last ride for me 220 miles total & excellent way to end season. Perfect day for Apex XTX 144 tipped floated on the pow pow but held very solid lines at high speed. I really didn't have do much just duck & weave when necessary very comfortable ride. If this is it for me I'm satisfied it was a good ride! :D

Yep the deer bother me they run down trail with traffic flow & look for a place to dive off into super deep snow. Saw 2 dive into a drop off.... I didn't have the heart to see what happened couldn't do anything for them anyway. I really wonder how many get injured break legs at this time of year? You have to push them a little or won't get out of the way.... don't know I feel bad for deer this time of year. :(
