You guys are funny. What do you think we live with trailers hooked up to our trucks everyday? If I was going to trailer I would end up in Greenland but that takes preparation & permission to park ...then what?... I drive home & do it again the next day on an endless financed road vacation. It takes money to trailer everyday & money not well spent on road miles that can be spent on the trail miles in a few days. You guys make it sound like it is so simple but then again you have no idea what you are talking about only difference with costs is distance driven to snow every other cost is the same & preparation is the same just you don't have to scramble for legal parking at your lodging. Think it out not that easy, cost effective or good use of time in any way takes planning & money to trailer anywhere.
Man o Man U make it sound like a real hard job living up there costs a fortune to drive just a few miles and finding a place to park is darn near impossible and money wise well icome from Milwaukee every week if there no snow down here I don't know your age but you sound just like my grandpa and he's been dead since 1986

No idea what they are talking about don't know them & they don't know me but yes I could be their father unless a young teen then I could be their grandpa. Funny how some people think they know what is right for another person no idea all people are different & have different priorites & responsibilities should not judge another without knowing anything about them but people are people & some are brighter than others as we both know very well from biz experience. As you know just trailering out of my property is an adventure down 2 miles of steep narrow private road that would curl their hair but then again they know all about Northwoods since living since in Milwaukee.LOL My solo afternoon rides would leave them exhausted never mind a day trip but I'm sure being a grandpa makes me a slow poke too.lol :)

I live here...so I don't have to trailer....what's so hard for you guys to comprehend?? I have to work...so I can't ride all the time (I have two jobs...part of the cost of living here).

LOL! I see this alot on here. I also find it fascinating when someone mentions they just don't want to spend the money or can't afford to spend the money on a new trailer or an extra trip, or whatever. And others offer up suggestions on how to get the money. Like giving up other things you love, like eating two meals a day instead of three, or selling a kidney. I guess snowmobilers are just very passionate about the sport.

Sounds like your grandpa was an intelligent man via his life experience & maybe there is hope for his grandson as well then again maybe not since I don't know either of them but remain hopeful & don't want to jump to conclusions about anyone. Comparing living in Milwaukee to deep in the National forest in Phelps is ridiculous. Nobody going to wipe your butt for you out here from LP gas, road snow clearance, tree removal, drinking water, garbage pick up, sewers, car truck, tractor & sled repairs. Heck you can't watch TV or use your computer without satellites & need to keep them clear of snow or they won't work either. Cell phones don't work here no coverage but we do have electricity.:) Living 17 miles from nowhere you better be independent & ready to put forth the effort & snowmobiling is fun recreation when you have the time & other priorities are satisfied. You have no idea what your are commenting on just no experience to know.

I have to back up WD on this one....when I come up north, drive 260 miles to get there, the last thing I want to do is pull the trailer out of the garage -the one that's backed into the tightest corner and takes 15 minutes to get back in place. Then I have to hook it up to the car, pull out my ramp, maneuver the sleds (2) out of it's position, put on the dollies, lift it, yeah that's right, hand lift it up the ramp a step at a time, put the tie bars on, put ramp back in place, drive 20 miles to the UP, find a place to park, unload the sled, ride...and then do everything in reverse when I'm tired and get home around 8-9 at night. Not gonna happen. If I can't ride out my driveway to the trail on 70W, I don't ride. I hate trailering - I bought the place up north to avoid trailering - that's how much I hate it. I can find 10 other things to do while I wait for the trails to open. **** if I want to I can ride it around the 2 acres, thru the woods and onto the little lake I live on.

If anyone does not want to go sledding yet, for any reason.
That's fine with me, don't even need to give me a reason - I don't care.

Just wanted everyone to know, don't need to write a chapter for me, OK?

This would also apply to.. going out for a burger, going out for a beer, even going to a movie.
If I am not invited, and you not doing any of these. you don't need to tell me or give a reason.
