High speed off a cell phone

Wow! technology at its finest. I now have high speed internet, and wireless at that on my boat for only $19 a month with unlimited minutes. Sweet. Anywhere I get a signal for my cell phone it works. I am live and local now! The phone sends the wireless to my laptop.

PLUS: you can probably down load 2000 of your favorite
albums in high quality digital stereo!

I am truly amazed. Just zipping along on this thing, sitting on the back of my boat listening to the fog horn, thinking about winter. life is good.

I have the Droid with Verizon an typically get 1.2 mbps
Just tested:

what phone???I was asking sprint about this very subject......I have virgin pay as you go for the road and quest at home.....but i would love if my smart phone had an wifi signal i could pick up on lap top

dont you remember the talk we had about remote TV access at the cabin....and i said a verison aircard....well thats the at&t aircard...no big deal....all phone providers have had these things for at least 10 years...but noone asks for them...they all would rather pay the satelite company or dish companys instead they decided....welcome to 2010 POLARISRIDER1....now move up another 5 years and open MEDIA CENTER and activate the FREE INTERNET TV

oh wait till you try one of these smart phones.....good stuff....I have the Htc Hero and this thing is awesome.....just wish it gave out a wifi so i could use my laptop at times...

I said the same thing until last Feb. Then I decided it was time to try a smart phone. So many things you can do with them you get addicted real fast. I was only using my internet (Wild Blue Sat @ $54.00 / mo. for 512 KB speed) to get email, JD, and work. I dropped the internet and use the smart phone for what I did before and more. Now the smart phone connection is up to 3X faster, and I only pay 29.99 / mo.
Your getting old like me Skylar, its time to teach the old dog a new trick :)

Good luck on getting one. Took me about 2 weeks of calling sprint to get one. Do not order it from Sprint's website. Call their sales dept.
