EVo is not available from AT&T. They sell the I-phone, Sprint sells EVO, Verizon sells Moto Droid

Bluetooth or tether option

I have been using a very nice tethering program with my phone that works awesome. I have verizon wireless and the blackberry storm but it works with most of the smart phones and providers. The program I am using is from www.junefabrics.com and the awesome part is you do not have to pay for tethering charges with it. I have an unlimited data package (every blackberry is required to have one) so it was no additional monthly cost to use this.

I did purchase the full software for $30 but the free trial works great. Try it out and you might like it.

Polaris said that he had att??

I have the Verizon droid. I was using my web site guys sprint while on vacation with him and his wife. I was on my boat using my lap top with his boat 20 yards away while he used his lap top and both ran very well. He was comparing the 2 for me. His phone was considered and set up as an internet "Hot spot" for whatever that means. I don't care on how it works, but it sure does. He said his battery dies fast unless plugged in to a charger while using the internet.

iPhone tethering

I upgraded my iPhone to ios 4 and there is now an option to turn on Internet tethering in the network settings. I checked out the ATT website and there looks to be 2 tethering plans. One was $45 and then there was an Enterprise one for $60. Seems pricey.

I am not sure what tethering is ment to be. I think we call it something else in my neck of the woods. All I know is that I pay $30 extra to have internet on the Droid 2 and It has tons of free apps for it. My son has the droid. He will set my phone up for me. I aslo found out that the reason I am not paying $50 a month extra is because of a free app.? computer/phone stuff???? As long as it works like the Verizon salesman and my son said. The lap top is one less thing on the boat. Also my current camera 1.3 mp That makes Albino deer look like goats will become 8.5mp. That should help.
