Yep...been very busy with work and haven't had a lot of opportunity to get out and enjoy the 25+ inches of snow that we've been blessed with here in N.E. Iowa / S.E. MN. Had plans for a back pack trip on New Year's Eve day. I'm going to bended knee this Christmas and praying this doesn't happen!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All other weather stations are saying snow, and John is the only one calling for rain, when this happens it seems that they will change to what John has been predicting the entire time. So this doesn't look good and sorry John, but hope this is one time you are wrong.
Thanks for the site.

I don't see anything wrong here. I'm in the 8-12. Bring it on. The rest of you guys should try sledding North Dakota.

Bummed Also,...

Yep,...
Wrecked my day also.
Finally get enough snow in my neck of the woods to open the trails,...
Then,... Crap!
I was at the gas station filling up earlier when a guy said,..
"better get yer ridding in soon,...'cause it's all gonna be gone for the New Years"
So,...
When I got home,... I checked the outlook.
Sure enough.
I HATE things that are out of our control.

Oh well

:(

TODDSPOLARIS you are right, it does happen every year. Thats why we started going west every year the last week of Dec/first week of Jan. to avoid the dreaded melt down.

Well I guess we will have to enjoy what we have now and see what happens. I will up in the UP the entire next week and if it rains I guess I will spend some time at the local establishments. Still better than being at work!!

Merry Xmas everyone!

I'm gonna take advantage of the 5" were supposed to get tonight here in Central Indiana. We should have at least a 7-8" base out there. We got a good 4" on the ground now. I'm gonna go for a 24 hour ride and see how far I can get. Hopefully that fix will get me to Feb 1st for our Western UP trip. All our snow will be gone by the end of the week with temps into the mid 40's scheduled around here.
