A lot of innovation coming out from doo.
A lot of "why the heck haven't we had that for the last 10 yrs" stuff.

They are really getting into the accessories market. A lot like Polaris has been doing.

Shot and the couple/uncouple on the fly are a pretty big deal IMO.

The cons are, IMO the sleds are still ugly as can be. And they are pretty dam heavy in the mtn segment yet.

All in all, good reveal. Though the camera man sucked bad, and Norona kept talking off camera over the guy explaining the features.

Looks are personal opinion, I love the looks. Thing is mean.

They are competitively weighed in the mtn segment, don't confuse doo with Yamaha.

Lol you know what I meant

Yamaha gave up on 2 strokes......;)...hmmmmm

Doo 4 strokes are as reliable as any, not sure why the Yamaha guys always want to compare 2 stroke to 4 stroke reliability. Gosh darn 4 stroke better be more reliable than the 2 pumper that's all it has on them.....

I know there has been a big move toward mountain sleds lately, even for the "mid-westerners". But really, in how big of a market does a few pounds make that big of difference?

Mountain guys are crazy on weight, belt drive, carbon fiber this carbon fiber that, which mountain sled doesn't have a can....its big...especially giving a guy ES without the weight

Exactly momoney, everyone knows they're heavy so why bring it up constantly? Yamaha still makes a bad *** 2 stroke VK540!!! LOL!!! That too is heavy:) Ski Doo makes a nice 4 stroke sled no doubt. Don't think they have the rep. Yam has yet but doesn't mean it isn't good. Some day maybe even you will have something positive to say about a brand other than the one you love so much:)

40 lbs is not competitively close. 154 to 155 sleds.

Don't be so butt hurt every time someone says something negative about your beloved doors.

Did they redo the 600? Maybe the shot thing is a bigger deal off trail. The only time I wish I had estart is when sled is cold. Like when I plug in my toro snowblower. After that pull cord is no effort. Still something new from doo, again

Shot is only on the Mtn sleds so far.

Haha didn't mean to offend you with the weight comment. They are all(including doo) junk ;)

I like the idea and would be a big plus for my kids or wife. Both which have a bit of a tough time starting sleds. In this situation, I could start it for the beginning of the day, then they are pretty much good to go. Technology advances are good for the industry as a whole.

And just incase you wana bring up 174 vs 165 even tho the footprint is close, here is a post from snowest from RTR(READY TO RIDE) weights of the poo's vs doo. Not getting blank hurt, just like facts not BS

and I quote..

Axys 155

Dw. 408

11.5 gallons fuel 71 lbs
2 gallons coolant 14 lbs
1 gallon oil. 7 lbs.

Total 500

Skidoo G4 154

Dw 434

9.5 gallons of fuel. 59 lbs
1.5 gallons coolant. 11 lbs
1 gallon oil. 7 lbs

511 lbs ready to ride.

11 lbs difference. Wow. Not so much difference any more.

Let's look at a 163x3 axys vs a 165x3 G4.

Axys dw 426
Add the 92 lbs of fluids
518 lbs

G4 dw. 441
Add 77 lbs of fluids.
518 lbs.

pretty cool tech for a snowmobile.

After seeing the video, it makes sense; just use the current "RER" technology that they have in place and expand on it.
I wonder how long until Ski-Doo licenses it to Polaris to use with the "PERC" that they already got from Ski-Doo?

one thing about DOO is they seem to be the leader and on the cutting edge on breaking new technology. adjustable skis, tmtion, rmotion, shot start, rev platform when it came out. and personally I think they're machines look absolutely bad a$$. the others just follow behind.

on a side note they definitely made a point to go after the after the accessories market. kinda pisses me off you gotta spend so much for a machine and they can't include any of this crap in the first place. as they say its all about the benjermans...
