Son said that the girl's favorite alcoholic beverage was Jello Shots. Really got the party started!

I have had two hot tubs got them both used and repaired them typically you can find them used and pretty cheap and they are pretty simple to repair. Figure $40-$60 a month electric costs plus chemicals adding a pool solar cover to sit on the water under the cover and only open the half you are using will help lower the costs. Check out Bull Frog tubs they have a lot less plumbing on them and are more energy efficient because of that.
I use mine 3-4 times a weeks in the winter and when I get out of the pool in the summer. It is really nice if you are out of town a ways, nice and peaceful, gives you sometime to unwind, Feed the wife some wine and a little talk time and it can work out to be money well spent. ;)

X2 Skeeter. We have had 2 tubs in the last 15 years. Not much work to maintain unless you want to balance the ph perfectly. We just add chemicals once a week and drain/clean every month or so. We use ours 3 or 4 times a week. Now the kids and grandkids come over to use it too. Great for relaxing and talking with the wife and kids. I have often said it has been one of the better decisions we have ever made to own a tub. Costs much less than a sled with a much longer season!

I have owned a hot tub and a pool. Both the biggest money pits you will ever own. Best way to describe the luxury of owning both: Place your hand on your workbench, smack it with a hammer. Equal amount of enjoyment!

We have one and really enjoyed it. 1st one was free and went without for a couple years after it was done. Just purchased a bullfrog few months ago. Its nice and a step up from the base models. So is the price but my wife and I use it few times a week and the kids like it too. I will agree that its much better in the cold months. Not much appeal in summer but also have a pool. I dont use that much but rest of family does so a good reason to have it. So my advice is try a cheaper one see how you like it. Make sure it has decent size pumps (5-6 hp) so it pushes a good amount of water thru jets. Just sitting in warm water with under powered pumps defeats the purpose

I have one that came with our house. It has been a love hate relationship. Since I do all the repairs, been a pia for me. Usually lose a pump a year of some sort. I replace myself, so cost is somewhat reasonable. Kids like it and we have had some really good family time in it. Had a bday party with my 7 yo daughter last year. All her friends had a blast - so does bring some smiles.

Part of my issue, I have really bad water. Anything water related in my house has issues. Part of where I live I guess.
