do they sell rebuild kits? i rebuild my front shocks on all my motorbikes, it can't be much different.

Dealer charges me $15 to recharge, $115 to rebuild. I just have them inspect it and 9 times out of ten it just needs recharge. I have never had to rebuild or recharge any fox shocks on the front of my sleds. It always is the front skid shock that gives me grief.

for me it's the rear shock. fox sensitive position shock is junk. i put a regular fox shock on my 700. my neighbors sled was the same way, he called me up 1 night asked me too look at his sled and the shock was just as bad as my 700's. he's got the same suspension/same year sled as me. i took the shock off and could compress it easily with my hands

Hey Indy 500, if you want to give away your junk PSS shocks let me know. You can push any shock in on the bench with the spring off, if you can't, you have a problem

If a shock needs recharging, it is leaking, it needs rebuilding. If a shock has 3000 miles on it and is 3 years old or older it could use a rebuild. The oil gets contaminated and does not work as smooth. Your ride quality will improve, big time.

If your paying $100+ for a rebuild your going to the wrong place.

Agreed $115 for a rebuild is well over doule what almost everyone charges.

If it makes a hissing noise when you compress it by hand, then you are looking at a rebuild. Just because you can compress it by hand only means it isn't valved very stiff.

At the beginning of the season I had Goodwin Performance rebuild all 4 of my shocks. The total bill was $206 I think. They were done quick too (2 days)!
