Agreed $115 for a rebuild is well over doule what almost everyone charges.
If it makes a hissing noise when you compress it by hand, then you are looking at a rebuild. Just because you can compress it by hand only means it isn't valved very stiff.
At the beginning of the season I had Goodwin Performance rebuild all 4 of my shocks. The total bill was $206 I think. They were done quick too (2 days)!
