-37 at 6:45am this Saturday morning in Manitowish Waters, I'm not riding today, but I typically don't ride on weekends anyway. Those sleds will be cold this morning!

My experience up north cars trucks start having problems at negative 25 and groomers are pulled off trails. Mechanical things don’t do well and high risk to operators. Snowmobiles are amazing machines for these conditions.

Reminds me of the first weekend in February 1996...We were racing at the ISR World Series on Ice in Arbor Vitae, Wi...Temps went down to -49...Couderay, Wi holds the record set that weekend @ -55...That was a nasty weekend of racing out on that lake...I left Chicago on Friday morning with the truck/trailer and got back home late Sunday night...I never shut the big block (454) off in the dually the entire time...

I was in three lakes that weekend -52 without the wind.

We had about -25 here a few miles west of Wausau, WI. But, it's been as high as a balmy 80 degrees here in my shop today, hanging in there at about 65 now. Had a wiring project on the utv and a little car project today. Good day to be in the shop. Wausau 525 Championship races are this weekend. Only the 2nd time I've ever missed them. Just to cold for me to stand outside in these temps. Must be getting old or something.
