How many miles this year?

1500 miles and never left Southern WI. It was a great year down here. It has been years since we put that many miles on, and it was nice to not trailer for a change.

That’s a lot of miles for this area..

I struggle to put miles on in southern WI. The trails were perfect condition for a long time - watched the grommer go past my house every day. Just couldn’t get excited about the corn fields and road crossings..Kind of regret not riding more..

5miles for me. Mostly on my part, I been busy. When we did have good conditions it was to damn cold to ride. Oh well, bring on spring!

945 miles, lowest since winter of 1989-90 (31 years ago). Rode only 16 days, but all riding was from our back door, and included only 3 counties--Dane, Columbia, and Iowa. Never trailered once this winter, first time ever, due to covid and all of the guidelines and recommendations to stop the spread. Average miles per year (56 years of riding) was 2,109 last winter, and now 2,089 following the covid winter of 2020. Any new sled thoughts or plans are off the table now.

About 850 on the new 850 and then about 150 out west on a rental. Usually do 1300-1500 so this was a down yr. Getting weird for me as my wife is not riding anymore and next winter my son will be away from home at school. Have to expand my riding crew!

We put on around 850 miles this year , probably 750 of them in IL (Freeport area) and in lower WI 1st time ever... all I can say in Wow never had a bad trail on all the times we rode out of that area and will defiantly will be going back , we made it up to St.G one weekend and it was during that cold snap (-22 temp) still had fun but didn't ride much because it was to cold and actually left early because of it (had to go because we had a cabin rented) we usually go to the UP once a yr but didn't make it this yr (next year for sure !0

I see people talking about riding the SxS here , we actually did 2 trips last yr and rent them out of Houghton Mi , ok its not the same as snowmobiling but I'll tell you if you if I could post pictures here you'd be hard-pressed not to say Wow.. we have never done it before and we went twice in one season , I think in June and then went back for the Fall colors in Oct (Awesome)

Got in a little over 1000 miles. About half of a normal year. Was suppose to be in the UP this week riding Tues-Sat. So when Mother Nature gives you lemons you make lemon ad. I currently in Florida with the wife. Hoping next winter starts sooner and last well into March.

It helps to research good areas to ride to. The fields were so flat that they were actually fun, you could really rack up the miles in a short amount of time. We based many of our rides on a food destinations. Like Old Abe said some of the areas in South West Wisconsin can be as fun as up north.

I feel your pain. I only got a couple miles in on my old 2008 heavy Polaris 2 up IQ Cruiser Turbo4stroke sled, til she blew, best thing to happen as I had a hard time steering the tank due to arthritis in BOTH shoulders now. Bought 2 newer lighter sleds from mspease and my what a difference. Hayward Powersports took the old one off my hands. Snow melted up here since so no riding. Sad because Bayfield Co had best trails EVER this year. Looking forward to coming years and lots of miles.

Under a 1500 so far. Off from years past, but still thinking I can make one last ride. Even with low miles, I have had a great season spending more time with friends out riding when we can, rather than the planned overnight trips which is where most of my miles are done. Had 10 days off the end of Feb, rode everyday, and only did 850 ish. Lots of quality time in the woods. love it!

295 measly miles this year. My wife is my main riding buddy and doesn't like to ride in the extreme cold, so we missed a couple weekends because of that. Normal year for me is about 1000 miles.
Good news is that a light grease job and some fuel stabilizer is all I need to ride next year!

I don't even add up the miles anymore. We usually ride more off-trail than on-trail, and we rack up a lot less miles that way (for the same amount of riding time). I rate my winters in smiles, not miles.
