the f7 is still kicking ars across the drag circuit in the 700 class and 140 was the stated HP most of the f7 I saw dyno sheets for were between 138 and 144.but can very easily push 152 and you would never know buy lifting the hood.
cant think of the last or 1st time I had seen a 583z at a track

I saw a clip on youtube that a 583 Z out ran a F7 but was not clear to tell
I was thinking no way
If F7 has 140 HP
And 583 Z maybe 100Hp
I know the Z is quick off the line
My brother inlaw beat a 1200 Mach Z last year with his F7

fyi the most of stock 03 was not as fast as the legend has it.a few of the early build with the round symbrl on ecu werfe fast but burnt after a hard pull if not burped during deceleration and most were re flashed.06 was the best stock 700 map. best buy for a sleeper is the saber cat they all had chain case no DD think the f7 were dd after 04.but remember DD can be fast I know of 1 world record f7 and it is a DD.
a f7 with a boondocker/fat azz pipe and y/with a 60hp shot of nos is unbeatable on "most" lakes all for under 5k

poo faster

my buddies and me all with poo 700 tripple xcr, 800 tripple xcr, and 800 twin ALL SMOKED a f7. Never seen what the hype was all about.

Couldn't agree more jeff. My buddy had an 04 sabercat 700 and we raced all the time and just destroyed it. If you going to race your buddy just make sure your in loose snow. The 13.5" track sucked in powder.

And if i recall correctly the 583's were right around 105. Also learn how to clean your rave valves. Often overlooked and lots of power to be had just by cleaning them(if they are really bad)

bring em to a lake with some one who knows how to ride a sled I have never seen the rear bumper of any poo 700 or 800 not even my old stock f7 against my piped ultra.
I regularly stomped some liberty 800 121s and xcr 121 with a Xfire7 with a 2in on it and that was when it was still stock.

must be why you still See so many xcr show up at grass/Ice tracks because they are/were so fast they are still competitive today.come to think about it haven't seen one in yrs but I can guarantee you will see at least 1 f7 finish in the money at any sanctioned event this winter.
the poo trippes were quick I had a xcr with a hoped up ultra in it and it was a competitive 660ft sled for its time but in 03 its days were numberd .buy the end of 03 it was dumped and a f7 was being built for the track every thing about the f7 was better designed to build a fast drag sled.I even went to a 1010zr900 with spray in 05 and could not make it beet my old f7 with a 900ss and spray' I had sold to a bud who still has it' no matter what I did close but never on took it.think I lived that one down.
I quit the drag racing but still wrench on some bad toys and if building a 2s drag sled the f7 is still a hard to match starting point till you get past 290hp then they start to twist to bad I have seen them turned to junk after just a few hard launches off the line with some 1200 f7s I helped put together a few yrs back

My buddy has a 06 f7 that is pretty fast but it will not out run my skidoo 800 r on the trail or the lake. Both sleds are stock. I raced Skidoo's on the grass and the ice and you are right the cats were always in the money. My 2 cents worth.
