I Don't Own A Mopar..........

For the first time since I was 16, I don't own a Mopar. I have always had at least one, and up to 3, at one time. My last one was my wifes Town and Country, that I got when she got an Envoy last fall. A few weeks ago the tranny went out on that on my way to work. So the search was one, quickly, for a "new" work car for me. I had a '01 Bonneville that was very reliable that I finally sold this past fall. So I really wanted another Bonneville. It was comfortable and reliable, and I just liked it.

Friday I bought an '02 Bonneville SSEi with 86k. It's a little nicer than what I need for a work car, but it was fairly local and the price was in tha area of what I wanted to spend.

It's not that I won't own another Mopar product, but I have found the GMs to be cheaper to keep around.

Now we have a GMC Sierra 2500HD, a GMC Envoy, and a Pontiac Bonneville. I hope this one is as good as the last one.

I'm not sure why, but it feels kinda good to be Chrysler-Free.

I have owned two Fords in my life, my first car was a 1974 Ford Mustang II, and I owned a two wheel drive Ford F150 for awhile. I have never owned a GM, otherwise it has been all Mopar. Current vehicles are a 2000 300M for my wife with 149k on the odometer, a 2000 Intrepid R/T with 189k for me, and our 2001 Ram 2500 4x4 with 115k. My last Dodge truck was a 1997 4x4 half ton that had 215k when I sold it. Oh yea, 5 of us went in on a 1998 Dodge Caravan SE for our work van. Almost 180k on that. Mopar or no car I guess.:D

Now, Indy hould be along any minute to tell us how GM's rule, because he has been driving for a year and a half now. LOL.

Here was my pride and joy I had from 1988-1990. 1973 Dodge Rallye Challenger, 340, bored .030, all the usual go fast stuff in it. 4-speed, 3.91 gears and a NOS Power Shot nitrous system in it to handle those pesky big blocks. LOL. All the work done to it except for machining and paint, was done by myself and 3 good friends from high school.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the old Mopars. If I could go and buy any car tomorrow, it would be a '69 Charger RT. It's been my favorite for as long as I can remember.

My dodge truck has been ok. I do miss my Chevy trucks thou. But again I married into a GM loyal royal family and always got their program vehicals which I think were tweaked a bit over the assembly line standard fair.

Chevy free here except for my former superstock 4x4 pulling truck.

Said adios to GM back in '93 when i couldn't keep a trans in a '90 blazer.

It went through 2 under warranty and the last one went out 1 week after the warranty went out.

Traded the POS for a Ram and never looked back...

Currently have a '92 W250 ,'02 2500 4x4 quad cab,'07.5 3500 4X4 Mega cab,all Cummins powered.......

Rented a FURD once, and that was enough for me........

hahahahahaha any time you want to hook up trucks let me know :) Wouldn't mind a newer (04-newer) f150 otherwise GM here I prefer to drive my vehicles rather than replace ball joints and trannys. Mom had a 02 Chrysler T&C motor sounded like $hit since the day we bought it with 40k on it, it needed new injectors, fuel pump, etc. etc. etc. tranny started slipping at 110k and it was out the door. Never again Mopar. Here's my pride and joy, 2" lift 33"x11.50" Firestone Destination M/T on Moto Metal 16"x9" 951 rims. Did I mention its loud? :)
