I just got a 1999 polaris xc 700 and my dad got a 1999 polaris xc sp 700. 4,000 and 4,400 miles. $3200 for both, in amazing shape, very well taken care of. guy had an amazing garage, he worked on stock cars so that was a plus. here's the pic and link to the ad

Saweeet! I know I am going to sound a like a dad here (because I am) but, respect the horsepower that 700 makes!

All right, lecture over, hope you put lots of miles on it this year!

i don't know, i won't be able to do a drive in drive out with 2 sleds, i think i'll keep the 500 in the shed and the 700 on the enclosed and only ride the 700 on big trips, i'll save the 500 for ditch bangin :)

A buddy of mine had an 98 XC700, yes they are very loud stock, louder than my 07 600 with an SLP can on it.

Another friend has a 99 like your white one, he has over 13000 miles on it. :)

Now that is a good looking set of sleds. The new sled will make your shoulders and arms sore the first couple of times you ride, because now have to hold on. That sled will ride like a dream compared to the 500. Don't waste your money on a boost bottle for it.

FYI check the bottom of the oil tank where the oil line comes out, the oil line is held in by a rubber grommet that FAILS and the line can fall out or leak really bad. Thus making for a very bad day when you walk in to the shed and see oil all over the floor and all over under the motor.

what are you doing on the puter, you should be in the garage washing, waxing, polishing and sitting on the new girl bragging to your buddy's about how bad a.. you are now with a 700.

Congrats on the new purchase. My old man had a 1998 XC 700 at one point and sold it with close to 8000 miles on it and it still ran perfect. I had a 2000 XC 700 at one point too and sold it with over 6000 miles. Those things are bulletproof! Now my stupid fusion feels like its falling apart after 4000 miles. My XC 600 runs like a dream though. There's something to be said for those older twin motors...

Yours is the white one then? What's up my twin? Except I got an extension to 144" on mine but I think the white is sweet. 700non-ves might be the best motor polaris made back then....

You will past any sled with the 700's, however, the gas range bites. You will go 60 to 80 miles before you have to fill them up (especially the sp with its gas tank.). Getting a 100 miles on a tank is very rare. Bring a lot of money for gas, but at least you will be the first one to the pumps. This sled is the origin for my quote "I can pass anything but a gas station." You don't need to add pipes or anything to it, just dial in the carbs and clutches and you will smoke 800's. Even the triple-triples. Oh yes, you can easily see 120+ on the wish-o-meter. Only a timer or a radar can tell you how fast your really going.

Also, it is really easy to drift (power slide) the sled. Just sit low, make the machine sqat, and power through. THe inside ski might lift a few inches but the sled will remain stable and controllable. You will be amazed on how fast you can go through the corners with it.

it's got 144 studs, i'm thinking of switching the ski's over but haven't decided yet.... i really like the white. i wanted the white one over the black sp. i'm thinking of switching over the riser too because my parents said i can't get another one which makes me mad. but i guess i'll live since i'm paying for half

I saw that ad a few days back (Maybe a couple weeks actually) and thought the package was a GOOD deal.

You will enjoy......
