I have sled for rent

As soon as you "rent for money" your sled, boat, house, car, etc,etc,etc,....... your personal insurance becomes void...... your exposer just became a "commercial exposer" and personal insurance doesn't cover business ventures.......... its a game of Russian roulette...... be careful.
Thats true but small claims court can take care of most damages without bothering insurance. I know a guy that did it for damage to his jet ski's he loaned out on a daily jet ski/motorcycle trade.

X10! That is entirely too risky, for all involved, lessor & lessees. He would be better off selling it.-Mezz

small claims court??
what happens when a rider wrecks and then blames you for fault machine and sue's the pants off you

easy money can turn around and loose your A$$

I'd have a lawyer draw up a disclaimer for you, and find out what TAXES you will be into!
Uncle sam doesn't take kindly to folks making money with getting his share

NOT an issue if all goes well, but come an accident or??
and things can go from extra cash to a big headache and or problems!

the modern world we live in SUCKS, too many hands in the cookie jar and most folks cannot take responsibility for there own accidents or problems or actions, !
its ALWAYS someone else's fault today!

I take a spare sled with me, and IF SOMEONE needed it, and all, I MIGHT be willing to let them use it for free, assume NO responsibility, and IF they wish to "GIFT me something for use, then GREAT!

watch your P's and Q's here!

So how will you figure rental days? If I'm driving up on a Friday and pick it up at 3:00, then drop it back to you on Monday around the same time is that 3 days or 4? What if I only ride Saturday and Sunday and the other days were driving up and back? I'm not trying to say you have a good or bad idea, and the price is obviously less than a dealer, but depending on how you handle the travel days it might not work out much different in $.
Only pay for days riding and for all the other bozos out there always in somebody else's business don't worry about it I've got it covered

IMO, the comments on a post you started should be accepted as constructive, if you don't like it, grow some skin, in all reality, you shouldn't bash those that are trying to be sensible and provide some constructive opinions. Can you sign over your house, cars, bank accounts, your paychecks for the next 20 years to me please....... I'll save you the law suit costs upfront after you get sued and have no insurance coverage for this crazy idea........
