I Would just like to Thank the person at Willow Wood in the Willow area who.... took the balaclava from my wife's helmet last Saturday evening. I know it was below zero, and you probably had a frozen face, and decided you need a facemask to keep warm.

I'm glad you chose to take hers, since she only had a 25 mile ride home, how cold could she possibly get?

I would have given her mine, but I use an MX helmet and goggles, so it really was not an option (I did offer it to her a number of times and she declined since she had a fullface helmet and shield) ....

She did need to stop a couple of times, had a really red face, but did dodge frostbite, luckily. Still, it was a miserable 25 miles for her. The other 100 miles on Saturday were great for her, so that did offset your douche-move...

Again, thanks, and I hope you stay warm in your travels.....

I had someone do that to me in Rheinlander several years ago. It was a cold ride home but I kept wondering how all my snot and mucous tasted to someone else. Kinda made me laugh. Now I aways throw an extra one in the bag. I totoally feel for you and your wife. She had to be freezing the entire ride home and you had to be worried about her. Put a damper on a good weekend. I just can't beleive what some people will stoop to.

It was probably the same douche bag that stole my wife's helmet in Boulder Junction on New Years Day. Trail side justice may be needed for these types of sewer spewing douches for them to learn to respect others.

Sorry to hear about your wife, thankful no frost bite. Had my breath mask taken while paying for gas last month. Oh, he did leave me his piece of ---- in trade of mine. There are some real A-holes out there!!!

sorry for your wifes misfortune...but i have to LOL at this... couldnt imagine taking someones baklava considering the spit and moisture that builds in them. my scenario...someone lost theirs, then scoped out the place for the first cute girl to have one and, well...you get the idea lol
maybe take it as a compliment?

Someone got a friend of mines at a bar a few years ago. He's kind of disgusting, has bad teeth and chews a half a tin at a time. I couldn't imagine putting one of his on my head lol!

We did have to laugh at the prospect of the snot and sweat in her mask... even though I lover her dearly, putting her wet, soggy, mask on would not be something I would want to do....... we are just glad she wasn't frostbit....

Karma would be, if she gave the person the flu... :)

People suck. I had to rack my brain quick when I saw this thread and remember where we were last week in Tomahawk when I discovered my gloves had walked off on their own as we were getting ready to leave one of our stops. It was at Billy Bob's though. Was just thankful we had a spare set of gloves in our group

Another "we snowmobilers are our own worst enemy" example. Just thankful she got back OK. I carry a couple of extras (different thicknesses) in my gear and certainly would have gave her one of mine. I'm sure there were others that would have done the same. Wash it out in the bathroom, find a heater to let it dry all while enjoying another beverage waiting for it to dry.

Had the rubber face mask from my modular helmet taken few years ago had a 60 mile ride back which sucked so I feel her and your pain just hard to believe people could stuff like that! Worst part for me I usually carry a extra but forgot to put it in my bag that morning so always check to make sure I have my extra's including gloves and masks etc.

Ha, I agree on that; putting on my own wet and snotty one makes me grossed out let alone someone else's. We had one stolen at Bents Camp 2 weekends ago (we still love the place, not their fault) but always carry a backup. I had my bag stolen with a backup midlayer jacket, an under armour long sleeve shirt (loved that shirt) and a shredded belt somewhere around Minocqua a month ago. I still trust the vast majority of riders out there. It p**** me off but Im not going to let it ruin my vacation.

I think that sucks that somebody stole from you....just wanted to let you know...willow wood is not in Tomahawk...it's town of little rice, and it's closer to minocqua.

Yup, I know this. Have owned our place on Bridge Lake (Nokomis) since 1965. I have always referred to the whole area as "Tomahawk" forever... :)
