If I make the front limiter straps longer, it will lift the ski's more, correct?

I have posted in a different thread about the front torsion bar, but i wanted to seperate the two becuase i know they do very different things! Any input would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks!

If you lengthen the stopper strap, it will give you greater weight transfer to the rear....which could result in lifting your skis.

vector08 that would be correct. It's worse for trail riding so i don't see why you would want to do that. To make them lift more though, tighten the rear limiter strap(if you have one)

aight, loosen the front, tighten the rear, you could also move the rear torque arm blocks to different settings but that's another story.

loosen strap remove rear blocks and ride wheelies all day when you have to turn just stab the break turn and back on the gas for a view of the sun and stars

I tried that 2 years ago, I had my plow buddy build a killer mound for me to " show off on " ( LOL ) The only showing off I did was when I tried smoothing out the top ( pre-jump ) real slow , just trying to prepare for the jump ( you know ) ..... about that time , the colonel ( wife ) walked out of the house, just as the sled teetered tottered, ( my story is.... just for the record.... she startled my concentration ) anyways.... my rock, with the helmet on it came down, cracked the windshield, busted the visor, and then she started yelling at me again ( " what's wrong with you " ) !!!! Just like my July 4th bomb that was a little too loud ! Coppers shown up, all the neighbors from 3 neighborhoods called the State Boys. The only showing off I did was affirming that I'm still the same idiot that she married. I personally feel she is still mad about the sled wreck 18 years ago, just after the twins were born. She was really mad, 2 newborn twins, 1 busted up husband to take care of !
Just some words of wisdom, sometimes " showing off " doesn't turn out as planned.

LOL..Good story! I think we all have to learn the hard way..best lesson learned is to "see what can go wrong" and not just wonder...lol

I have some stories like that too. I had a big pile O' snow in my yard and i had a pretty good rut in it from roosting snow up in the air on the way down, well one time going the other way and the left side side fell in the rut. and over the sled went, right over me and down the rest of teh pile. haha not a fun experience. No broken bones though! So it was all good.

Last winter I tried "showing off" by hitting the gas hard and leaving a big pile of snow behind me. I thought it would be cool to watch this happen as i was doing it so I looked over my sholder as i hit the gas. well what happed next was mostly bad luck but the sled hit a rut and leaned to one side since i only had one hand on the handle bars I started to fall off. I decided that there was no way I was going to ride this one out so i simply let go completely. Thats when my foot decided to get stuck in the running board and the sled kept moving dragging me behind it. I have a Polaris Switchback so the track is longer. Well as I was getting drug along and my hand got sucked into the track and smashed it between the rear bogie wheels and the track. I managed to break my ring finger on my left hand and had to get pins in it about a week later, lets just say thats the last time I will be doing that. I dont think the guys will let my forget about my stupid choice any time soon though. I guess the lesson is to be careful when "showing off"
