Illinois IPass Transpoder Info

Hello Fellow Snowmobilers,
It has been since June 20 since anyone has responded to this thread. For some reason, it is still receiving many hits (not from me)
It has reached over 9200 hits. I wanted to add some more information after reading blkhwkbob's post dated 4-19-18 concerning Illinois tollway
rates and a link about it (which I have listed below) I tried to contact state representative Martin J. Moylan
to discuss his plan to try to reduce the excess trailer toll fee to no avail. I will try to find out any more info & let you all know.

I called his office a few weeks ago and left a message. The next day, some guy from his office called me back and said something to the effect of "it's waiting to be presented at an upcoming session." He honestly didn't give me a ton of confidence that it was a priority for anyone. Meanwhile, I have done a lot of fishing lately and the toll refills on my credit card are rampant. It's an absolute crime what they're doing to us.

Four months in of leaving the state and I couldn't be happier. Helps to move somewhere that 3/4 of the people actually know what a snowmobile even is.

Well, well, well, over the 10,000 mark. Really don't have much to say other than I always wondered what my
parents did to fight boredom before the internet... I asked my 19 brothers and sisters and they didn't know either.

what does a toll with I pass cost these days? what about cash pay?

so if i tow a dual axle trailer i pay for the trailer too?

Once you put on a trailer, all discounts are gone. You basically pay the same rate as a medium truck. Tolls vary.

The good news is that Representative Marty Moylan won re-election. He's the one that's on our side and who is pushing the issue to the Senate. I voted for him for that reason only. Now he owes me.

Just a quick unrelated note to everyone, it's been exactly 1 year since I started corresponding with this very thread, this was my first, as corny as it sounds,
it's been an interesting experience, somehow got to know just a little about everyone through this site. very interesting stuff to read about,
you just really don't know what to expect when you open up the site and start exploring.

My sources tell me that the movement to lower the Toll rates has died in the Illinois Senate. I guess I was foolish in even thinking that Illinois would lower a fee like that.

Alls ya have to do is replace the word Illinois with......THE MOB

They are what they say they are, Toll Roads! Being a trucker, there are other routes, maybe not as fast, or convenient, but you still get there. Leave a little early, and enjoy the ride! I have never liked the price of fuel either, but then there is no other way around that.
