I agree, drinkng a lot of kool-aid if you beleive its cheap. And its not $19.30 one way. It's $19.30 plus all the taxes you already paid to build roads. To me this must be where the term "Highway robbery" originated from.

You didnt pay a dime in taxes for toll roads; they are fully funded by tolls only. Why keep complaining here where no one can do anything about it; why not instead bring it up at a Tollway board meeting?
Sarcasm. Nothing in Illinois is cheap. Maybe milk, but I'd pay more to help the farmers.
Not complaining. Just pointing out the fact when you pay a toll to use toll road, you should get reimbursed from the gas tax you pay at the pump. In essence you pay twice. You would think one could at least get cheaper gas or food for paying to use the road, but its ussually more for anything you purchase. And you can do something about it, don't use it! I beleive its what this thread is about.

Today everyone will be proud to know that I saved $$$ by going to my install site
today without using the tollway with my work trailer. It was basically the same time
in traveling. Let's all think together & boycott the tollway. Before you know it they
will have to tear them all down because no one uses them anymore..what a thought LOL

For a dead horse thread 4200 hits in 3 months isn't much on the severely active list as most are prolley curiosity clicky check'n it out to see WTH a Transpoder really is and if they should get one for next Winter...
Let's change that to 4400 hits for flogging a dead horse thread

Yes I know. Other states also looking to doing the same. Not only to foreign companies, but to foreign countries. Not sure on that being legal though. Yes, privatizing is expensive. Oh well, that's the world we live in today.
