Peter - at least if I were paying taxes on waterfront property I'd feel like I was getting something out of the bargain!! I wish I could say we're gone after the kids are out of the house - that's still 10 more years away for the youngest anyway - who KNOWS what we'll be paying by then. What we paid 15 years ago per year is now what our taxes are per month. Again, dare to dream to get the heck out of Cook County. Not that Lake County doesn't have it's own share of taxation issues...
