Ice on the bays on the smaller lakes this morning here in northern wisconsin!! Had 18 degrees at my house this morning, 19 yesterday morning. Local weather guy said much more winter like conditions headed our way by mid week next week..with lake effect snow possible in the snow belt!!

Had to go to Marquette today. Lots of night ice on the smaller and mid-sized lakes. On the way back there was even frost still hanging on in the shaded areas and some of the night ice was still there, including Lake Ruth (Three Lakes) about half covered. I really do not think it will take much to get the smaller and mid sized lakes to freeze up at this point. Larger lakes may be a different story.

Yeah bring it on. One year ago today, I was leaving deer camp pushing snow with the front bumper on my gmc 2500. Had enough fall from sun up to sun down to have the snow that built up on my tonneau cover to be level with the cab of the truck. That was awesome but it really sucked to walk a 1/2 mile back to the truck with snow up to your knee. This year I will take the snow shoe's.

There is not any blue in northern indiana, but i am glad that it is coming up north. Thats where all the fun is at anyways.
