We need videos of this thing.

i'll for sure get some at least by the summer time, i'm going to try ezra's idea now, sounds better to me. as long as the engine still gets gas being tipped that way i think it might work. and i have plenty of hinges. i will update this thread as i continue to improve it and i'll get more pics but for now i think i'm going to start over and make it better. and the holes for the exhaust manifold (that is what it's called correct?) are stripped now for some reason so i can't use it the way i got it. i did get it started and running for a while but it went maybe 1 mph.

you need some type of clutch or slip device like ezra talking about!you should get about 420 miles to the gallon .I would think a gas powered leaf blower strapped on the back would give you some jet action while your peddling and the cops cant bust you cause your pedaling to your leaf blow job!! lol lots of ideas on you-tube under weedwhacker powered bycycles. Have fun and when you go to engineering school at houghton you can take your sled up there to ride to school!!

good idea, i was thinking that or northern michigan or there's a technical school in marquette. either way i will find a way to ride my sled anywhere! i didn't have to from the age of kindergarten-8th grade, it would've only been a .1 mile ride to school.

put the motor on front wheel with a hinge front wheel drive lmao shorter cables and you can pick motor up right away when cops show up lol!

good idea lol...chuck it in the ditch! there's tons of bike trails around me and in the town newsletter there was a thing highlighted in it and it said "as a reminder, please remember, no motorized vehicles on the bike paths. this includes snowmobiles, motorcycles, or any other motorized vehicle" does a 31 cc weedeater motor on a pedal bike count? i think i might try ezra's idea now with it on the front. ezra which end did you have yours on?

anybody have some better ideas to mount the engine on? like actually attach it down? i can get it mounted but i just don't feel it's strong enough as snobuilder said. the thread is slightly stripped and/or i dont' have the right size bolt.

project is done, motor is blown. mixed too much oil then i tried equaling it out with more gas and scratched the cylinder up, took a tiny chunk of the piston ring off then i figured hmm lets take the piston ring off and see if i can find a new one cheap! well, tried taking it off and it snapped
