Was not trying to rain on your rant!
Just a casual observation.
Sometimes we can't see the trees for the woods. In this case take a huge step back and think about taking life a bit easier. As you age, your sight and reflex have gone south. Most folks slow down as they realize that doing so saves them from catchin the eye of the authorities, and it doesn't really cost much in time to slow down. Leave a bit earlier.
We all were in a hurry at one point or another in younger years but with age comes wisdom (hey I am buying into this one big time
and the older you get the more you realize that life is too precious to be lost over excessive speed...even if it is by accident.
Who hasn't got caught by the long arm of the law? Life is short and slowing down will save the very frustration that you are now enjoying. Show your kids by example that the precentage saved by blasting along over the speed limit isn't really worth the costs of all of the above. They will pay attention to what "dad and mom" do.
These are observations....nothing more than a critic of what you have said.
While I agree with much of what you say about the revenue stream, and letter of the law, and much of what happens has less to do with what you should have been doing to what you were actually doing....the point is to avoid being a victom of those who wear a badge and WANT to use it.
Good luck on your "defense"....and better luck understanding how and why you got there.
