iridium ix spark plugs

I don't know if I'd call them "amazing", but I've run them and don't think I've ever had one foul. Don't expect any gains in performance, though.

I use the NGK iridium plugs in my motorcycle but mainly for longevity and access to the plugs in the engine isn't so easy. Around $7 at O'Reilly Auto Parts.

I had contacted NGK a while back about any performance gains by using them and was told it would be minimal at best, just that they do last longer, so in other words, they would provide consistent performance longer than a regular plug.

I use them in my polaris FST .I think they work great in a four stroke because the four strokes foul plugs when you keep starting them up and shuting them off for your buddys and not letting the sled warm up.

I put them in my Yami Rage, mainly just because I was changing the plugs for the first time @ 5K miles/4 years and figured I'd put in a plug with the highest duty cycle just to avoid problems down the way (and hopefully go another 5K miles or more). Haven't noticed any difference in performance (wasn't expecting any).

If I had a sled which had harder to reach plugs, especially a newer 2S, I would install them in the hopes of avoiding having to tear the sled apart to replace a fouled plug along the trail.

For old-school 2S engines with easy to reach plugs, esp. if you replace a couple of times per season, it's hard to beat good old $2 copper plugs. They'll likely foul long before they wear out anyways......
