Is spring here? Saw a flock of robins.

Well, one of the indications I use to note that spring has sprung is seeing robins. Having breakfast with my kids this past morning near Appleton, my 12 year old son mentioned there were a few robins in the yard. I figured he must be mistaken. So I looked, and they sure looked like robins, grabbed the binocs and took a closer look. Yup - 100% they were robins. A flock of about 10 or so working in the non-snow areas for food. Certainly can't be pulling worms. Just depressing. :confusion:

We saw a robin last week just south of Merrill, Wi. We felt sorry for it, what was it eating? Too early for them we think.

second week of febuary now, just had about 8 sandhill cranes fly over backyard this afternoon up on the il/wi state line, yikes!!!

Nice.
On their way to my area in Green Bay, WI; we have more than one protected wetlands area for them to nest etc. So close to my house you would think their dangling legs will hit the Pines in the front yard.
