They were there yesterday! What the heck! I'll see if I can see what happened.

Update:
I don't know what happened, but I am just reloading all of them

Last I heard the snow has set up quite a bit. Lots of wind and warm temps. I have consistently found the best snow on the west and north ends of the range. A general rule of thumb is head towards the quealy warming hut( marked on the map) then ride to the west and north from there to find the deepest snow on the range. If everything is set up and wind blown, the next rule of thumb is get in the trees. If you are unfamiliar with the area and/or a novice mountain rider, I would suggest staying away from the french creek area. (Also marked on the map)There is some very technical terrain down there that can get a guy in trouble real quick.

If you just want to play around in some meadows and do some mix type riding, there is plenty of that to do around albany. No need to ride all the way to Quealy. If you want to challenge yourself in the deepest snows, you need to get to the west side.

Also I would caution you to pay close attention to your fuel level. Gas is only available at Albany, Wycola and in Ryan's Park. If you trail ride to Quealy hut, then play around, you could easily run out trying to get back to Albany.

Hey just noticed we can see your old pics now. Got some great shots in there! Looks like you had pretty similar conditions. I guess you timed it a little better than me. I didn't get any of that bright blue and shiny stuff!;)
