Is this Mag1 oil as good as Sea and Snow?

TCW3 is a marine spec I believe. Late model snowmobiles are looking for JASO FC or better yet FD (Sea & Snow).

Your right on that JASO FC, FD!!! Cold flow properties, and very low ash content. TCW3 is for marine/warm weather use, not snowmobiles. Farm supply stores generally carry Mystik/Citgo products (Sea and Snow).

The oil distributor ended up having a case of the Citgo Sea and Snow at the other warehouse. It's $60 for 4 gallons. So cheap when I'm used to paying almost that for a gallon. Just tired of paying outrageous prices for brand name oils when I doubt they'll make any real difference. We'll see!

The pour point and viscosity make that Mag1 marine oil plenty thin for sled use.
However looking over their specs, I think the 2T synthetic Mag1 oil would be a better oil. JASO FD oil.
Mag1 is made by Warren Distribution. A very good oil company.

Can you order Mystic oils online? Farm and Fleet? With rebate its like $9 a gal for Sea and Snow. $11 for full synthetic.

BTW your engine will be fine with any of those oils, Mag1 or S&S.

Just having some fun with our "Annual" Best Oil Thread. They're all good, choose what you believe in.

I'm having a hard time finding Mystic or Citgo Sea and Snow here and the local place has this stuff:

https://mag1.com/products/2-cycle-s...e-and-powersports/mag-1-marine-tc-w3-2-cycle/

Looks like the specs are similar.

I'm not looking for opinions on how bad this oil is because it's not Amsoil or Polaris or BRP, etc. Just looking to see if maybe someone has experience with this or sea and snow.

Thanks! Been a while.
fyi I saw menards selling S&S now they keep it by the chainsaws . so if you have a menards try them

Whoops, my bad!!! Citgo U.S.A. is not owned by Venezuela either.

I am not familiar with any corporation called Citgo U.S.A.

Citgo Petroleum Corporation (or Citgo) is a Venezuelan-owned American refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. The company has its American headquarters in the Energy Corridor area of Houston, Texas.
