So....you let your inner Chad come out eh? :joyous:Lol! Don't worry about that dicknose! Contrary to popular beluef, the customer is not always right! Your customer service is top notch, and always has been! I remember a few few years back, we were up helping with trail brushing, I rolled into your shop with 4 plugs in the tire on my atv. You didnt have a tire, but you gave me the keys to a truck so I could run up to Dan's Polaris to get one! Who the **** does that! YOU DO! Customer for life I am! Keep doing what you're doing, continuing what your dad started. I hope I hear that guy bitching this weekend somewhere, I'll let him know what's up. Lol.

If I was the customer, I'd be kinda salty too if I was told my new sled may need better springs for my not so fat azz. lol

snomoman, that was my dad and believe it or not, I remember that! I was the mechanic that did the repair on your sled! LOL! That's a long time ago. dothedoo, I thought only women cared if you asked their weight! LOL! Yeah I'm over it now, just cruddy how people can go and put false information on the internet. I'm not perfect and have been humbled at work more than once. I need it sometimes to make me appreciate good people. A humbling is not a bad thing. Wish that was the case this time. Yes Skylar, I let the Animal out! LOL! Chad knows how to tell someone to take a hike that's for sure! Anyway, thanks to all of you!

A sad state of affairs to be sure, at least you own the place and can say something. Where I work we can't say anything or we get fired. As a rule, we can't refuse service unless the Guest personally attacks the employee (verbal or physical).

As a Doo guy buying a new sled annually from 2004-2018, I recently bought a new 18 Polaris Pro-S and the suspension is way different than a Doo and a bit of a let down.
I am 300 lbs and have generally rode new Doo's without rotating the torsion block (non clicker shocks) or making any adjustments. On Renegades I will move to block #2 and that is it. Good to go out of the box so to speak.

On the Pro-S with Walker remote reservoir shocks I am already on to click 5 on the upper rear shock and am still bottoming out once per 15ish miles. I have also adjusted the upper rear shock preload by 1.25 inches and had to order a spanner wrench to get to the skid preload, hope that clears it up.
Why doesn't Poo provide a $5 spanner wrench. it's not like the buyer is not gonna adjust the shock. The book says we can do it by hand, that is bologna especially with snow/ice after the first ride. Kinda spoiled my first trip earlier this week as I will now wait til this Saturday to get the spanner wrench in the mail.

I would say the dude's frustration is with Poo not you, you are the rep not Poo itself.

As many have said you as a businessman with above and beyond practices are the reason people patronize as there are many Poo Dealers.

Much respect, Bear

I sure hope so Bear! Google should have a lawsuit on their hands for falsified information. It's just not right.

Kip sorry man but you HAVE to keep your kool!! After my 35 years of sales and marketing someone is bound to press my / your buttons and you need to stay calm. I can still remember the customers that got under my skin only 3 that really offended me to this day. Thru it all I never raised my voice to anyone and always said I want to make it right and always did. You don’t need to worry about 1 jack wagon 1000s will attest to your outstanding customer service unwind ,kick back ,have a beer and put this behind you.
I disagree on most of your post but not all. I believe that we can and should hold people accountable for their behaviors. Kips stands straight up with no BS. He’s as clear as could be and I love that about him. People need to know when they are out of line with hopes of helping them see things through.
Similar incident for me. My cancellation policy for lodging is 2 weeks and no questions asked. I had a group cancel because of conditions 12 days before arrival! These people were repeat customers but kinda a pain in the butt type. I told them, find someplace else! I could care less if they like it or not. Sometimes the principle has to be maintained regardless of the consequences.

Good job kip!

I wouldn't get too worried about it. Often in this day and age the customer isn't always right. I think you did the right thing defending yourself.
Sadly if you speak to people who work in the tourism industry you'll find out that while they wel come the money that snowmobliers bring to the area a lot of them think that they can act and behave like total tools. I know two younger girls that work as waitresses in the Calumet area that just can hardly stand them. One of them is from Alabama and she was just stunned after working just a few weeks with weekend warrior snowmobile crowd. She said she is nightly propositiined for much more. Nightly.

At the same time I think everyone needs to understand this about Facebook reviews (I know this case was about Google reviews but I thought it's important to mention this) I know of another business in the same area(ish) of Pats and their management has a person that dedicates most of their days not allowing negative Facebook reviews to be posted. See the way Facebook works is you can review and select what reviews are going to be allowed to be posted. Sometimes a bad one slips through because there is a time allowed to manage the Facebook review or they are automatically posted.
I know this because I know a person that was the person thats job was taking care of the Facebook page for this business and thats not right to falsify information like that.

And btw, Kip and anyone else that gives a rip, if you look up that guy, Dean H, and his other Google review it was another one star post something about some business stalking him. lol! This guy might have issues.

Virtually all people looking at online reviews actually appreciate seeing a "ding" here or there. Whether consciously or sub-consciously they perceive that the reviews are more authentic if there are a few bad ones among the rest. Even if you search for the best of the best in any category - restaurants, hotels, golf courses...whatever - you rarely see any of them score a perfect rating. Think about those times you come across an Amazon item that has nothing but glowing reviews (and typically some odd English grammar, but that's another story)...your radar usually goes up; at least mine does. If enough people report the review and Google takes it down, more power to you. But if that doesn't happen, I would sleep well knowing the guy actually helped make your business review profile more authentic...which can only help.

You guys helped me out back in 2008 when I forgot my key at home for my brand new Apex 40 anniversary sled. They took the time to check other sleds in there shop and found a matching key and I was able to ride all weekend and I mailed it back to them on Monday. Never forget it. THANK YOU.

PS. They wouldn't even take the money I was going to give them for lending it to me. I put some in the envelope when mailing it back. Would recommend them every day of the week and anytime of the year.
