Kip, vent away man! Don't let one knob bring you down though. Overall you have to do what you have to do for you and your family but, hopefully you see you've got an Army of supporters that have appreciated you and your staffs continued help! We all know you have our back and will do what you can to get us back on the trail (even for those of us that might not ride your brands :smug:)! But, be assured we also have yours as you can see from the responses! Hang in there!!!

By the way, how's Chopper doing? Is he back bombing around the shop?

Kip and Trisha and their staff at Pat's are the best thing that has happened in my snowmobile adventure that started in 1967!!!

Kip was just a twinkle in Pat and Claudia’s eyes back in 1967! I believe in 1976 or so is his born on date? Ha ha but I’m sure Pats reputation of great service rubbed off in his boy tho!

Kip,
It's neat that you remember working on that vmax, it was a troublesome bugger, the money spent at various shops along the UP getting that sled back on the trail were staggering. I never really rode it, either my wife or friends would ride it. It got the absolute worst mileage, somewhere around 7-8 mpg, I guess most the oil was being stored in the exhaust can, LOL I remember after you put the used can on, we would remove it and cook out the oil in it by throwing it in a campfire. I could of sent smoke signals with the extra smoke coming off the fire. I'm sure it wasn't doing the can any good, probably made it louder,
the vmax is long gone now but all the memories, I could write a book with all the stories I have.
It's been exactly 1 year since I logged on & generated a thread today, which reminds me....time to resurrect the I pass transponder thread... oh no, here we
go again!!

I feel your pain We own a bar!

Here's the story. A fella comes into my store and and pays for gas. I thank him for that. He then says he has a new 850 Poo out front and that he's not happy with the ride. So I ask him what's wrong. He said the sag seems not to be correct. I asked him what he weighed. He immediately gave me a look like it was an offensive question. He tells me in full gear he's 210. In full gear I'd be awful surprised if he wasn't at least 235 but I could be wrong. I told him that he may need to upgrade his springs to a larger rate. He then said he could here a clunk or something of that sort when he hit his brake. He was studded so I asked him if he had the proper stud height. He said yes and that it's impossible for the studs to hit with the tunnel protectors in. I then asked how many miles he had. He said 450. I told him that he needs to adjust his chain as it will most certainly be loose. He turns away to leave with his back to me shakes his head and said thanks a lot, you were real helpful as about as sarcastic as it gets! Whoa! Rare, but I let my true anger get the best of me. I walked out from behind the gas counter and went outside. I told him, what do you want from me? You asked questions and I answered them respectfully and to the best of my knowledge. He tells me that he's owned my sleds than my age and that he wanted to speak with the owner. I nicely informed him that I am the owner. He then tells me he's going to go onto Google and leave a negative experience about my business. I just can't believe it. He then goes on to tell me that I only want to get his money and that I was angry he didn't purchase here. I don't even know this guy! It really ticks me off that you genuinely help someone and they're offended and leave negative feedback. This shouldn't be allowed and google should not be able to do this. I can't even respond without setting up a google account. People like this make me want to sell this damn place I'll tell ya. Yeah I'm living in the U.P. to become rich and take his money! Wth! I told the guy I didn't want people like him in my store and told him he's a total rectum. Sorry, couldn't help it, I was infuriated. I'm not politically correct when it comes to ignorance. I gave him a thumbs up and he flipped me off. When he hopped on his sled to take off I could see his rear shock was totally blown out. I could've easily helped him with warranty but it was apparent someone had pissed in his cheerios and he was unhappy because his suspension was ill performing, so he takes it out on me. A grown man acting this way, unbelievable. Now I have a negative feedback because of a total douche bag!! Why not just say, my suspension isn't right, can you test drive it or take a look at it. Easy, right? Nope, gotta be a total rectum! Sorry, but I gotta vent! I just don't think it's right that a total ******* and liar can go onto Google and leave negative feedback. What a joke!

You run a top notch place. Did service work once for me on the trail and parts as usual. You tried with this guy. Many more just like him. You polished a turd and all you got was a ****ty rag. It happens. Not worth worrying about. Thanks.

There are going to be assholes to deal with in any line of work. Don't let them get you down. I've met you a few times, and I thought you were very professional and respectful.

One bad apple's post isn't going to ruin the business you and your father have built up, that is for sure. Like other's stories, I too have been rescued by your excellent service.

On another note, a buddy of mine is in the motorsports business such as you are Kip - they sell motorcycles, ATV/UTV's, PWC's, generators, and sleds. He hates selling sleds as the people seem to be a bigger PIA than any other vehicle. His suggestion, is that the businesses also get to rate the customer on a 5 star scale system, and the you need to let the business what your rating as you walk into the door. Imagine if we were judged every time we made a purchase. I think most people would act differently, but then again we are going back to the golden rule, and a 1st grade level here, aren't we.

Rating the customer, I love the idea! That would change things for all the people that deal with customers. I think its only fair that it goes both ways! It should be connected directly to your credit rating.
