Covid Overkill
I think most of you know I support the wearing of masks. However I find it very difficult to wear one for a long period of time. I truly feel sorry for those who have to wear one all day long.
On a recent visit to my local bank, even I thought the bank did an overkill. I actually called before I went so I knew what to expect, but this was just a visit to a bank not the dentist or doctor office.
As I approached the front door of the bank I put my mask on. I entered the bank and in front of me was a table that had a little basket of masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. A girl got up from her desk and approached the table area with her mask on. She wanted to see my ID and then wanted to ask me some covid questions. She asked about 5 covid questions like if a had a cough or fever, if I had been traveling etc. I told her I had no covid, but she had to ask them all anyway. If I was sick, I wouldn't have been there in the first place.
Then she wanted to see my drivers license again, and for me to lower my mask so she could see my face. Heck, I just showed her my license. However, at the time I thought it was just some more covid mumbo jumbo, but since I was going to go into my safe deposit box it was probably necessary on second thought. Of course all the tellers were wearing masks and had plexiglass barrier in front of them.
Now this was just a bank, and most customers are in a bank for just a few minutes, not like a grocery store where you might be in the store for over a half hour. Grocery stores don't put you though these hoops why should a bank.
