Trailer OEMs had to restart from the ground up. Welders , wood ,metal , electronics , tires you name it they were out. Orders came in with prices to dealers tbd. Dealers backs to the wall had zippo to sell so just placed orders blind to get some product. Currently finished trailers are shipping and I was shocked my enclosed trailer increased by 40%. Idk if theses prices will hold go up or down but took my breath away. I’m real happy I bought mine last year during the pandemic slim pickings but I found what I needed and I would not pay current pricing for new. Imo certain products will suffer sticker shock and inventory will back up. Time will tell what’s next.

Called my Triton dealer a couple weeks ago. My be-loved TC167 was in a hail storm and deemed a total loss. Asked if he could get one, he was pretty sure no, but called Triton directly just to ask. Triton stated if he were to place an order for a trailer today, they "Might" be able to have it out the door by July 2022, but no promises. They also told him that they were raising their prices (again) another 30-40% the following week. A new TC167 is now upwards of $10k out the door which is just insane for a two place trailer!!!! Not to mention, it would appear not nearly as sturdy.

Check out the frame coming out from under the deck and running up to the coupler of my 2018 vs. a 2022. I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure the 2018 would be way more structurally sound!!!! That 2022 looks like it could flex damn easy. Just my observation.

I get that brand new stuff is going to be more expensive and therefore drives used prices up, but still used is used especially recreation vehicles that get piss pounded.

If its "like new" then people will still get the inflated price. Used 2021 corvette's with a 1,000 miles on them are going for well over sticker of a new right now. As long as supply is low used will still pull top dollar. Car manufacturing and toys likely won't get straightened out until mid/late 2022 according to a conference I was at yesterday.

I could sell my 2016 for close to what I bought it for used but I'm looking new for a 1 ton and they aren't moving on sticker price at all. <br>

Unfortunately Triton has been a lost cause for over a year now. I’m not sure why the pandemic hit them so hard but most dealers don’t even want to talk to them anymore. There are some Mission Hybrids shipping and are as good or better than Triton more reasonable pricing at least last year. What I did was buy an all aluminum inline cargo trailer and concert it to a snowmobile trailer. Much higher quality trailer with nice radial tires. Check into Discovery all aluminum trailers I think you will like what you can get bang for the buck.

I've been watching for, and talking to people I hear that are ready to upgrade, even with current prices. Hoping to find someone willing to sell me what they have for what they will get for trade in. With vehicles, places like Carvana and Carmax, along with low dealer inventories, have really driven the prices up. But I'm not holding my breath for that special deal.

Fortunately, I'm not in NEED of anything newer, yet. In fact, I took the summer to get the winter Truck fixed up for hopefully a few more years. Spent about $2000 on it, good tires, good brakes, a good smooth drive train, and a working heater are all I'm really concerned with for hauling sleds up north through the snow and salt! $2g's is a small price to pay every couple years, for now. And I don't care if my sister backs into the drivers doors!

Sorry for the loss. That's terrible timing with the current trailer market. I assume you're going to just keep it? You can't see the roof anyways! As long as no huge holes.

Crazy price! I paid $10.4K for my 2019 RC 8.5x27 ARSCT 9990 GVWR in August of 2019. I can't imagine what the going rate of it is now. That was a custom order I also did. Took 8 weeks to build it.

That is quite the design change. How much length did that remove on the tongue? It looked like one advantage of the clamshell style with longer tongue, you could fit a sled in back up bed. Not sure it that is feasible now with shorter tongue.

You aren't kidding on that. I've been looking for a smaller trailer to move one or possibly two sleds around with. Used ones are sky high - at least asking prices. New ones just seem ridiculous.

Trouble is with the debt so high their hands are tied. Uncharted territory for sure. Sounds like they are getting ready to print a bunch more for "infrastructure." Last time there was any restraint was when Bill and Newt were duking it out...

All true that Hoosier!

Looks like a political post to me. Oh wait! This site has a double standard. They ban me for this slightest political statement and others get away with things just as political as what I said.

I think they let things slide for people that add to the discussion around here. You've never posted anything without an underlying agenda. And I'm being generous - mostly it seems you just troll here.

Thanks. Yeah, the left side is completely hammered. Planning to keep it at this point as insurance is screwing me on the value. Seriously looking into re-skinning it myself if I can find color matching panels. Actually doesn't look to be too difficult (famous last words). The front nose / roof are not nearly as bad as the side and look to be the most complicated to replace, so I might not even worry about that. I'm EXTREAM OCD but might / could live with it if the side is re-skinned and the front nose just has some dings. We'll see. I'm still trying to track down panels that match to re-skin. Shipping is killing me on anything I do find. A couple of pics showing the damage. Might not look terrible to some, but as I said, the OCD is strong with this one. I can't stand to run it as is!!!

A buddy of mine has some hail damage on his "Protector" trailer - he is OCD as well, but did learn to live with it as replacement was a lot more work than he really wanted to do.

Good luck with your choices!

Right. I was just out there this morning looking it over again. The side panels honestly don't look terrible. Found a company on e-bay selling the exact sized panels I would need, so it "should" be pretty straight forward to pull those off and replace with new ones. Getting it tied back into the roofline might be the worst part. The roof itself on the other hand would be pretty challenging. I gotta give it to Triton, the trailer is pretty well water tight. Glued and caulked at each and every studded cross section along the inside roofline. The side walls are glued & caulked as well, but one single stud vs. several along the roofline. Anyway. I'm getting a "sample" of the company's charcoal gray to make sure it matches up, then probably gonna pull the trigger. Should be a fun Fall project.
