It's Ugly

It'll happen just hang in there. A sport like this you have to take the good with the bad. It's all right to have some stinkin thinkin but don't throw in the towel.

Steve - IMO...one of the main differences in this year vs. any other is that we had cold weather to freeze things up until the snow decided to come. Right now, we're looking at early November conditions with a sheetload of water everywhere and no frost in the ground.

We could get 2 feet of snow and many areas would still be unrideable. I did say MANY....not ALL.....follow me and we'll find the right spots!

The Hills opened today and got a bit. May need to reconsider your New Years destinations.

Dumping pretty good now in the northern hills. Sitting on about 5inches that's fallen since this morning. Doesn't seem to be letting up either. I'm here hoping this system sits on us for a day or so. Going to go up the hill behind my house tonight. I cant wait any longer. Will report back with a broken parts list in the morning!!!

The NWS now has us in a winter storm warning with up to 8 inches of snow and winds gusting up to 30 mph. If it is anywhere near accurate it should fill our ditches and set us up for the season. We will find out by early tomorrow.

Lake I am on froze last night. The little dusting of snow we got is currently melting. Ground not really frozen. Barely any frost if any.

The forecast looks promising at least. Hopefully it pans out it needs to start freezing though so that way the swamps and what not will freeze but getting snow is a start for that.

Ma nature is on her period in the Twin Cities. We have had 5 seasons in 20 mins. It was sunny, thunderstorming, raining, icing, and snowing before you could decide what to wear out.

Lawn is actually getting green again. Not good.

When it should have gotten cold here. I spread probably 40 lbs of grass seed. Suppose to be a good time to seed, for spring. Afraid now with the above freezing and all the rain its going to sprout and die cuz it'll be too new to go dormant for winter.
