the word for the weekend was cold.
I thought it was going to be hard to find untracked playgrounds not at all dont know what u guys were talking about. yeah the main drag logging roads just off the trail were tracked but the woods and some open areas I was in had not been tracked in at least a foot of snow ago.
groomers did a great job with all the sleds.
glad I hauled up gas the lines at Krups were long at times.
and we only had to pull 1 poo out of the woods {voltage regulator] good thing it was close to dusk sat night

Ezra, what happened to the Cat? Kevin's new ride is looking good.

Have you had any issues with your contours lens fogging?

sold the 1000 because I thought I was going to be getting back surgery in OCT then bailed on that.
so started looking for a 141 M after we made plans to go to Breckenridge.
could not find a 141m so I bought this RMK from a guy in Denver who told me it was a 144. well it showed up and was a 155 pissed yeah especially seeing as I payed a poo dealer in Denver to go over it and give it the ok told them I wanted them to inspect a 144 07 RMK.they also said nothing.
oh well got it hole cleaned it up went over it top to bottom and did maintenance as needed, put a slp pipe set on it and it goes ok now.still dont like how the RMK handle compared to a M.
I think the poo guys are all brainwashed the M handle's POW better and holds a side hill way way better hands down.I planed on running it in Breckenridge and selling as soon as we got home but mother nature had a diff plan
well if you know of any one who wants a 07 rmk with a slp pipe and slp clutching for flat land and 10k and over with about 800 mi I got 1.
and as far as the cam no fogging yet and it was -12 the day those picks were shot.

I was watching the video and thought the same thing. Ezra on a Poo? Your are comparing an '07 RMK. Have you ridden a new one? I have yet to read any reports or evaluations that rate any mountain sled ahead of the new ProRide chassis. Sales prove that as they are dominating the mountain segment. Poo guys aren't brainwashed, all you have to do is read and look at the sales.

Supertrax Best Vertical Sled: Polaris 800 Pro-RMK
The editors' choice as Best Vertical Sled was the 800 Pro-RMK, regardless of 155" or 163" track. Both were excellent, they said. "Seriously, Polaris has...taken back the mountain market with the Pro-RMK in any track length variant. This snowmobile so completely exceeds its riders expectations it is almost an understatement to say it leads in this segment. The now bulletproof 800 [Cleanfire engine] is perfectly suited for high elevation climbing or insane highmarking as a result of the engine's inherent, Cummins-like torque characteristics."

I know what you will say Ezra, "Polaris must pay Supertrax to say that", but you read it every place you look.

I think he means the M series vs RMK.M series hands down.I think the M series is better than the new Pro Climb. Now the new Pro RMK secret sauce used to build that sled.

Noodles,

I think you are probably right, although it's still called the RMK. I'm not an off trail guy, but I do read about everything I can, and I would agree that the old M Series was considered by many to be the best before the new ProRide came out. Thanks!

yes I was comparing the old rmk to the old M .
I have not ridden the pro ride enough to give a fair comparison A 20 min ride is not enough to give any good evaluation I think you need 2 days.
so wanna buy a 07rmk.
from cat guys I know they like parts of the new pro climb better and some not as much.
I dont think any thing has as big a sweet spot for sidehilling as a M.even guys I know who now own pro Rmk who owned M say that.
BTW I tried finding a paper bag to fit over my helmet when ridding the 07rmk but all were to hard to see out of.
I do say In the older sled market My preference is 1 M 2 RMK 3 09up summit 4 rev summit and yammi is not even a thought that POS phazer light thing was the worst thing I ever road .I really wanted to like it but just could not do it

ezra,

Have you had a chance to ride the new Cat yet? What impressions did you have from your 20 minutes on the Pro?
