Like the starter jet circut check & TPS ideas. Had a TPS create great grief also.
Sounds like your running out of things to check.

If its not getting any fuel, could it be possible that its low on fuel and the pick up hose in the tank is either cracked or broke off? Just a suggestion. Doesn't hurt to take a look.

You have done so much you got to be going whacky by now. Throw some seafoam in gas see if that helps. If seafoam cleans up bog it is in fuel delivery somewhere & you will have focus. Do you have any spare carbs to swap out from another sled? I had the same thing with 96 580 AC EFI never did get it right dealer even took back to Thief River Falls & they swapped out chips then test rode tried another chip & test rode again in the end was a little better but always had to double pump throttle at dead stop to override bog.

sprayed starter fluid around the crank seals didn't change idle. It ran boggy all last season for 1500 miles like this so I don't think its an electrical (maybe tps) or motor related issue

Indy, I have had issues with the TPS in the past on my 99, 2000 and 2001 700 and 800 XC SP's. the pin sticks, breaks off, dry rots, etc. One of my riding buds 98 700 had same symtoms and that's what it was. It is a Poo, just about as easy to work on as a Chevy truck.

Pilot jets weren't clogged (guess i didnt clean them enough) and the fuel pump rebuild kit was the wrong one. Bought a used one from the dealer for half the price. Runs like a CHAMP! It's about time!!!

Indy, have you tried new spark plugs? I have had problems similar to your original description of the problem and new plugs often solved it. Difficult to catch problems with visual inspection of plugs....need to try new ones.

check wiring harness on right side of motor under recoil. I had a 2000 600 act same way and I found some bare and shorted wires on harness that comes out of fly wheel. schnook

Same thing kept happening to me with old craftman mower cleaned pilot jets every use had to pokes holes with wire to get black dirt out. A real PITA had all lines & filter cleaned but still clogged. Finally doesed with mucho Seafoam & cleaned up whatever was causing the dirt to clog jets.:)
