I remember Christmas in 1982 here was only around 60 though. But on Christmas eve day a guy with a santa clause suit on was sailing a little boat around the lake. Is why I remember it

We had a really good time, that was a good group for sure, and we appreciated your knowledge of the area! I have only been out there a few times, so it was nice going out with someone who new the area. I will also say that was the first time I have been to the Mosquito bar/grill, the place is really cool looking inside, and wonderful hospitality from the owners/staff! I will definitly be stopping back there.

Ok here's a positive , we had a tease, some hit it right on and was able to get their 1st ride in on the 1 positive day we had in the area last weekend, the other days were so, so, Yesterday was not so good freezing rain mixed with snow, made slush, then turned to sleet snow mix , and since last night, snow, this mid day it turned to lake effect like snow and now we have 3'' of blowing and drifting snow. Moral of this thread, weather here can change hourly, don't project, be concerned yes, but it's out of our control.It's a tough call when we make reservations and only have set vacation days, for those of you lucky enough another lesson to learn this year, when the snow comes hit it, because tommorrow it will change, we hope for more but....sometimes it just doesn't come as planned or wished. I do know that there is some riding to be had from Mass City to Copper Harbor , not as much as most would like especially those that are mile counters, but usually by Christmas and if not then, the 1st week in Jan. it's usually the kick off to the season, so no more negitive thoughts , let's hold hands and think of the Coke song, or get out and do the snow dance!!! p.s. don't pick on John,he wants what we all want snow and now!

this just in,this just in,,,,Just came back from sledding to Toivola and back and it's been snowing good since 1 pm today and it has improved greatly,,,,no worries people. Better conditions actually now than before the warm up. Snowing like a crazy mug as I type and it has been for four hrs now. First pic is by the nosquito, second is near my house by the alantic mine and spring area, last is a mile from home

We didn't stop in this time, wife was making a killer chicken and rice soup. We're heading to south range tomorrow morning for some brecky and back. Will post more picks than. I never would have expected such a turn around so fast. The little base we had was just enough to keep us off the rocks and the conditions on the grade are better than before the warm up, just crazy.
