LaCrosse County Wisconsin

As far as I know at the last meeting it was supposed to be done, per what I heard on Sunday it was to be coming down from St. Joe's where they put new tracks on and supposed to be heading for Bangor.
They can only groom up to Burns with the tractor although they can go to the split before Olson's gulch and the skinny but the thinking is that the tractor won't make it through those two areas so they only want to take a track unit across there.
I just got back from riding from my house (Barre Mills) to the bike trail and I'd say the trails are awesome at the moment, little slush in some spots but hardly any traffic or moguls!!

Took a ride myself. Rode from Onalaska to Holmen to Stevenstown to Mindoro through Olson's Gulch. Turned around and went back. Thats a quick 80 miles. Most trails are real nice today. The bike trail is flat, some moguls in the woods, but this is the best December I can remember.

Excellent Photo's Paul. Is that Cougar a 96? I had 96 then bought a 97 that I still ride. I love that little sled, that 550's such a good engine.

Where can I get some trail maps for the area.I would like to trailer over there and check it out.How much snow did ya get from the last storm.

ridesafe: It is a 96. It was my wifes, now my sons. I had a 95 as well, sold it this fall. I also have enjoyed the Cougar, real nice snowmobile.

As far as maps, check out this site.

Any of the sponsors should have maps, or request one from the contact link. You'll want Monroe, Jackson and Trempealeau also. Here is another link.

If you can't find any let me know.

As for snow, the area got around 14" Saturday night into Sunday. The trails were nice on Christmas day, put on 80 quick miles. News said maybe more snow this weekend. If you want, let me now how many miles you want to go and I can give you a good rote to take. The bike trails are flat and straight, the others are more demanding.

Here are the bike trail links.

Hope this helps.
