Everything that has broken like driveshaft, chain, sprockets, springs, shocks all have been upgraded to zr.

Main question is how big of a lug can i go with this sled?

Im extending to a 144 preferably, might opt out for 136 but honestly would love the 144 tip ups.

What would i have to do to have a 1.75 track with the sno pro studs down the middle that measure 1.8 i believe, whatever it is for the 1.75 track.(dont have the mag handy)? Clip, new cog wheels, extend cooler nec?

And whats the largest i can have with out new cog wheels?

I really would like 1.5 or higher with a small amount of studs, Ill be riding 50/50 trail/ offtrail, but prefer riding offtrail as much as possible and i am sick of getting stuck with the ole 121...

All input is appreciated.

Thanks
Andy

well 4 boondocking with a 144 you don't want a snog track so with a studded 1.75 you will eventually take out the fr cooler

I had picked up on AC that 1.250 was a good height lug for the ZR & F chassis. I just put in an ( F series ) 1.250 Ice Ripper Xt and it seemed to install easily. Read another post about someone wanting to install a 1.5 in , and the general opinion was good luck fitting that in there. You might want to research that 1.5 a little more. The max is not always the ideal, if things are very close clearance wise what happens when it starts to rachet, or your @ WFO and hit a whoopdie. Inevitability a new track will stretch and loosen, rachet, until you can adjust it. If your at very minimal clearance to begin with and have studs things could go wrong. Just a thought. I prefer to run my stuff " loose " just enough so it doesn't rachet, less wear n tear on everything.

i seen plenty with larger then 1.25 with studs, been on arcticchat.com and they have some real nice read ups.

Looks like 1.5 is do able with some notching of the lugs, and you can go up to 2 in with notching and new drive wheel for clearance.

What does everyone thing of 1.75 144in with the ocrrect drive wheels and some notching?

Studs down the middle still a bad idea with these adjustments?

do the 144 1.75 notch 4 coolers and ditch the studs with the 1.75 you wont want to ride on hard trail or ice much anyway.there is no happy medium. **** or get off the pot you either get a sled 4 off trail or a sled 4 on trail. what do you really want?not what do you want to be or what do you want to look like. what are you going to use it 4 design around that.as of this season my xfire is now a 153 2in took a few yrs to get there but now I am happy.should have just bought the m in the first place

having two sleds is not an option right now, i will be riding trails through out the day and wander off trail where ever i go, love hitting some deep stuff and hills. maybe just go with 144 in w/ 1.5 lug and possibly some studs down the middle? Most riding done up and northern wi

for 80 trail the 1.5 will be fine in 02 to 04 I was getting around in the backwoods with a 136 1.5 just fine until I stopped in a bad spot that is. so with a 144 1.5 you will be just fine.but remember a track spinning at 75 sled going 20 under snow tree trunk will pull studs in a hurry
