LED strips

Hey im trying to put some LED strips onto a moped I have similar to the underglow used on sleds. Can I just tap into a 12V power source such as the headlight? Also if I do this can a switch be put in so that they can be controlled when they are turned on or off? I do understand kinda basic wiring so don't be afraid to rattle something off, also have put shield defrosters on an older snowmobile so I think it kinda has to be similar to this right?

Yup tap them into any 12v source. Any switch can be added, I always had a switch in my trucks back in the day when I had led strips running all over the floor of the truck!
