Looking for a used primary clutch, what to look for...?

I'm looking for a used primary clutch for my 99 Polaris Indy 500. I'm thinking less than 2,000 miles is a good number. Sku # is 1321736. Can i get other clutches besides this one that'd work? Reason i need a new one is because my weights are wore out and are digging in, and the spring is close to shot.
Any help would be appreciated

So the weights are wore out and digging into the spider I take it? How bad is the spider? How bad are the weights? You can buy new bushings from SLP for $14.25 for a 3 pack, part number 40-200. A new spring is pretty cheap, usually around 20 bucks or so. I might be able to help as far as the clutch is concerned, maybe. It will be a few days before I know for sure. I'll let ya know.

The Spider ain't good but the weights are worse. Mechanic said it wouldnt help much to put in new weights and springs. But i think that'd almost make it close to new? am i wrong?

Can you get a close up pic of the spider, you would have to open up the primary to do it.

My 07 600 is 120 HP, and I use 62 gram weights. In your 500 you wouldn't reach your target RPM, plus the backshift would really suck. Your stock weights are a 10M5 which is a 49 gram weight. There is no way your 500 would pull a 62 gram weight.

Indy, I would concentrate on your clutches first.

You could go up a gram or two on your weights, probably. As long as you reach the rpm your engine is designed to run at, and you like the backshift, go for it. But, just be aware, clutch tuning, can get to be expensive. That is why a lot of people just buy a "clutch kit" The research has been done already on it.
