Loyalty is a thing of the past with some people. Sorry but i dont consider you a fan if you jump ships when the going gets tuff. Gutless and spineless all in one.

I know its hard to believe but after so many mistakes by a team I just thought after a team like the 85/86 team they should have at least made an honest attempt at provideing a good product look what happened after that superbowl the bears backward the pats said hey lets get good and put out a good product people will get behind It just seems to me the bears know the stands are full we can fill the seats who needs a good product.I do agree its hard to know who will b good and bad but year after year for a proud city like chicago you think people would get fed up and say give us something worth spending our big money on tickets.Just my thoughts I do respect bear fans and have many of them and there just fed up and I dont blame them

its going to be the first losing season since 09, it could be ALOT worse. Im disapointed in the last few seasons but I wont bail. Never have never will. I believe they are trying to win but in todays NFL the only way to be contenders every years
is with an elite QB, and there is only 4 or 5 in the WORLD. without one ur gona have ups and downs.

i have no time for "fans" who jump ship after a couple shaky seasons.
your obviously not a cubs fan than i imagine.
you don't root for the coach, gm, or individual players. you root for the jersey.
snowman2 you make it sound like you've been watching the raiders for the last 15 years. you guys have for the most part been competititive and did go to a super bowl in the mid 2000's.
but hey what do i care you wanna jump on the aaron rodgers band wagon i guess we got one more seat.

In the last 20 years the Bears have been one of the worst franchises in the NFL, ranking in the mid 20's for the league. Here are their stats:
Overall record: 159-177
Playoff appearances: 5
seasons above .500: 8

A well run organization like the Packers has a little bit different stats, they rank in the top 5 of all NFL teams in the last 20 years.
Overall record:211-124
Playoff Appearances: 14
Seasons above .500: 18
The bears have clearly been outclassed by the packers, its not even a competition; and yes I am a bears fan. Problem is that I don't see a way the Bears, with their current management, will dig themselves out of this mess. They will continue to be non contenders for the foreseable future.

pack had 2 HOF QBs. Thats simply the difference. Lemme guess the other top teams...the colts as peyton won 12 games 6 straight years and hmmmm the pats? Hmmm see the pattern.

Yeah i understand the pattern, my point is that the Bears do a terrible job of developing talent and theres NO reason to be bad for so long. You can still win and be consistent without a HOF QB. Looking at the last 10 Super Bowl winners, I would say 4 have been won by HOF QB's. As for the top teams in last 20 years in order Pats, Steelers, Pack, Cowboys, Broncos and Giants.

Have they really been that bad that long? When they didnt have a QB say 10-15 years ago and you could actually still play defense they developed some pretty damn good players for the way they were trying to win...DEFENSE. Urlacher, Briggs, tillman, tommy harris, jennings, mike brown, henry melton....list goes on. But todays NFL, im saying since the new rule changes, to win year in and year out, you need an ELITE QB. 15 years ago was different. Not saying you NEED an elite QB to win super bowl 1 year, becuase the 5-10 ranked QB's can get hot for a 3-4 game span, ala eli manning, joe flacco, ben roethisberger.....but winning divisions and being a contender every year is about the QB. period. Brady, Manning, rodgers, and now luck are there and a top team every year. Look at the recent super bowl winners like baltimore and New york. One year good, one year bad. Seattle last year dominating, this year, not so much. Peyton manning 12 wins every year.....the year he gets hurt on SAME ROSTER they go 1-15 and get luck. the days of the 06 bears are long gone. to many rules changes since then. Pack have all time greats at Qb which is why they have had a good run since favre arrived. Without those 2 players i dont see that much success that consistantly.

dunphee if it was that easy to win titles they'd be handing out 32 of 'em every year.

ha, it would be like kids sports these days, everyone get a trophy! I am just frustrated by not winning a championship in what will be over 30 years.

Yup it sucks. Gota find an elite QB, which I hate to say it may take another 30 years. Seems like 1 pops up every 4 or 5 years in the draft and you have to be lucky enough to get him. Otherwise need to develop a middle of the road QB and surround him with an elite roster via the draft. or wait out aging elite QBs and get ur hands on them for the tail end of their career like peyton leaving colts, montana leaving niners, and favre leaving pack. like timo said, its not easy, but elite QB's make it look easy. Everyone in the organization is a genius when you have an elite QB.

I feel ya....I've been spoiled to be witnessing HOF qb'ing for what could be 35 straight years. but just cuzz you get one don't guarantee anything. look at dan marino got to one his rookie year and then never really got that close.

Your right, there's no guarantees but it would make your organization instantly better. I guess my problem actually gets to my trust in the bears coaching and management to actually drafting or developing an elite ( or just really good) QB.

Remember this:
Jay needs a better O line
Jay needs better receivers
Jay needs O minded coach
Jay needs a good QB coach
Jay needs to get the plays in faster
Jay just needs to stay healthy
After another losing season....What does Jay need now?...Or bottom line does Jay just plain SUCK? In my view Jay may not be a bad as he played this year but he needs a fresh start somewhere else....he has got to go!

Back in the glory days, Jim Mcmahon was asked who the bears should pick in the upcoming draft. He responded: an owner
