Look at Cutler's on field performance would it be worse to trade him? I don't want to go back to QB of the week but Trestman is suppose to be the QB whisperer & Jay not responding at all. Denver knew something when they traded Jay had some flashes there where he might develop into a very good QB. Jay is not progressing stalled out flatlined same mistakes & miscues are repeated & the rest of the team knows it just wait until Jay kills the game or 3 & out 3 & out over & over. Trestman won't switch to Clauson but look at Sean Peyton releasing players calling them on the carpet for poor performance no idea why Trestman does not do the same with Bear players. You seem to be wary of shaking things up where I have no problem making changes try different players see what happens Bear season shot anyway play for top 10 draftee find out who can play in real nfl games.

Jay will never be a successful QB if he is asked to throw the ball 45+ times a game. The running game is a Qbs best friend. If they could be successful with that like the cowboys have been jay can be successful. IMO jay is part of the problem, but he is not the top of the list. When he gets time he can hurt defenses. But when every defense we play doesnt respect the run and plays deep coverage and trestman passes the ball everytime....i duno, destined for doom. Plus our defense is so bad, all teams game plan was probably like hey, we know we can score, lets sit back in 3 deep and make jay march the ball every drive. I guess marc wasnt smart enough to out game plan those opponents. Every team they play, plays the same defense and gameplan lol.....

I said the running game sucked many games ago & you liked it including Carey remember that? Cutler has to hit receivers on the run but ball sails or way off target or the dreaded pick 6. Forte good but getting old not a burner never has been. If Bears had a good thrower they could score some points ...just don't see it in Jay....start there try Clauson what is the difference at this point?.... Trestman afraid to hurt Jay's feelings?lol

We dont know if they can run because they NEVER DO. They get down a TD and trestman panics. His route combinations are puzzling and former players who studied tape say this. If the bears had a better replacement at QB im all for it. Jimmy clauson is NOT it. Im afraid they will trade him and we will see what real bad QB is about. Bring back mr 0.0 qb rating rex grossman. Maybe he will work.

The bears defense took the bears to a SB. Not rex grossman. If i remember orton played alot that year. Here are some QB ratings from rex grossman. 0.0, yes 0.0 f-in qb raiting for a whole game. and other games under 30. ****, you COULD do that. His season Qb rating was in the 60's. Jays bottom of the barrel games are in the 70's and 80's. give me a F in break if you think grossman is any better or would have done better.

And if rex didnt suck balls, they woulda won the super bowl.....but his but fumbles on snaps and pics lost that one...Never seen a pro Qb fumble the snap so many damn times. And in the super bowl of all game =....SMH

Yea i wish i was inside the locker room enough to know. But its not pinned all on jay. Trestman should take alot of the blame. The team never looked ready to play and he was out coached constantly. Keep asking jay to throw that much is dumb. Jay makes plays. but do the math on 40 throws and yup a few will be off target just the way it is. good coach can disguise that. see what happens. they need to fix the D or it really doesnt matter who is the QB, they will never win with that swiss cheese.
Emery is definitely part of the problem. He has hit on 2 picks with Long and Jeffries and I hope fuller will also work out. But he has missed big time on McClellan (please get him off the field) and several others, fired a 10-6 head coach (which I agreed with ) and has been downhill in record ever since with 8-8 last year and whatever this embarrassment will end up at. He also hired trestman and passed over ariens, allowed the hiring of mel.tucker, signed cutler to a way too much extension, should have tagged him, and allowed the bears to field this defense (old.)
As far as the defense, there little talent on the D. Let's remember, the bears were built to have a dominant offense and a mid road at best defense; like the Packers are built.
